Two undefeated Welterweight prospects, Jaden Ortega and Alvi Dasuyev, will face off in tonight’s episode of Dana White’s Contender Series! Dasuyev is 9-0 with nine finishes, while Ortega’s record stands at 5-0 with five knockouts. With two exciting, explosive finishers, an excellent showdown is likely.

Alvi Dasuyev to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (-145)

In Dasuyev’s career, eight of his nine wins have come in the first round. In the past 12 months, he is 3-0 with two knockouts and a submission. Dasuyev is trying to become the third fighter in the UFC from Belgium alongside Losene Keita and Bolaji Oki. 

Ortega is a skilled striker, and he has won his previous four contests by knockout. His latest victory came against Ricardo Chavez in February. Ortega trains in Spokane, Washington, at Sikjitsu, which is also the home of Michael Chiesa and former UFC Bantamweight Champion Juliana Pena. 

Both fighters are 6’0″, with Ortega having a two-inch reach advantage (75″ vs. 73″). In this fight on DraftKings Sportsbook, Dasuyev is a -250 favorite with Ortega as a +205 underdog. The over/under is set at 1.5 rounds with the under at -125, and the over is -105. 

Although Ortega has knockout power, Dasuyev’s skill set is more well-rounded, with finishing ability on the feet and on the ground. With all nine of Dasuyev’s wins coming by knockout or submission, I’m taking him to score a finish at -145.
