Da’Mazion Vanhouter to Win In Rounds 1-2 (+230)
Da’Mazion Vanhouter is 2-0 with two knockouts in Zuffa Boxing. His combination of athleticism and power is tremendous, especially for someone who is only 21. He is coming off a first-round knockout over Raphael Murphy, who was previously 18-1. Akpejiori, 35, is 1-2 in his previous three contests and is coming off a loss to Mourad Aliev in May. He last won in February over Frank Mola. Although Akpejiori lost his last fight, he still has plenty of power and is 14 years older with much more experience.
In this contest on DraftKings Sportsbook, Vanhouter is a massive -2000 favorite, with Akpejiori being a +900 underdog in this bout. Vanhouter is also -600 to win by KO/TKO/DQ in this fight. Since Vanhouter is such a big favorite, let’s find the best value play to back him in this contest.
Five of Vanhouter’s previous six wins have come in the first round, and eight of his 12 career victories occurred in the first round. That is why I’m taking Vanhouter to win in Rounds 1-2 at +230 in this fight against Akpejiori. With his aggressive, fast-paced style, Akpejiori likely won’t last 10 minutes against the rising star. Vanhouter is the smaller fighter in this bout, but his athleticism and quickness give him the advantage.
