How NFL Playoff Odds Work

NFL playoff odds are season-long futures bets on whether a team will qualify for the postseason. A team can cash a “to make playoffs” bet by winning its division or earning one of the conference’s Wild Card spots.

Odds with a plus sign show the potential profit on a $100 bet. For example, a $100 bet on the Carolina Panthers at +220 would profit $220 if Carolina makes the playoffs. For odds with a minus sign, the number shows how much must be wagered to profit $100. A $460 bet on the Los Angeles Rams at -460 would profit $100 if Los Angeles makes the postseason.

This page tracks three odds checkpoints for every team:

  • Current odds: The latest odds to make the playoffs available at DraftKings Sportsbook.
  • Previous update: The odds from this page’s prior update.
  • Preseason odds: The baseline odds entering the 2026 NFL season.

NFL playoff odds can move after games, injuries, trades, quarterback news and other developments that affect a team’s chance of reaching the postseason. Shorter odds indicate a team has become more favored, while longer odds indicate it has become less favored.
