A-list judge Simon Cowell will be absent from the panel for a third straight week as he recovers from back surgery, this time getting replaced by former AGT judge Heidi Klum. On top of that, the fan voting results will be unveiled on the same night as the performances in the final week of the quarterfinals due to a major scheduling conflict.

When does America’s Got Talent air?
The fourth quarterfinal of America’s Got Talent Season 21 will air live on NBC on Tuesday, September 8 at 8 p.m ET. The two-hour episode will be available to stream in real-time and on-demand on Peacock, as well.
Immediately after that, the one-hour Quarterfinals 4 Results show will air starting at 10 p.m. ET. The results shows typically air on Wednesdays, but NBC is broadcasting the NFL regular season opener between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots in that window this week. America’s Got Talent will return to the Tuesday-Wednesday format for the Semifinals and Finals.

There are 11 acts competing in America’s Got Talent Quarterfinals 4, nine of whom made it through the judges’ callbacks. Lara D, meanwhile, earned a Golden Buzzer from Sofia back in the second auditions episode. Rubén Roldán got one from Simon in the fourth episode of auditions.
Speaking of Golden Buzzers, one act will get a Golden Buzzer live on Tuesday, automatically advancing them past the fan vote and semifinals and directly to the finals. Magic group Hundred Fingers earned that honor in Quarterfinals 1 when Howie burned his, while Mel B used hers on rock singer and guitarist Nene Royal in Quarterfinals 2 and guest judge Kenan Thompson used one on singer Lai Noelle in Quarterfinals 3. The fate of the remaining 10 acts will be in the hands of the viewers at home, with voting results coming after 10 p.m. ET. The three acts that advance will compete in the Semifinals on Tuesday, September 15. Six of the 12 semifinalists will join the Golden Buzzer beneficiaries in the Finals on Tuesday, September 22.
