France’s own Morgan Charriere has been struggling for consistency since his UFC debut in April 2024. “The Last Pirate” has traded wins and losses across six trips to the Octagon, most recently getting starched in the first round by Melquizael Costa earlier this year.
But while his track record may not show it, the 30-year-old contender remains a formidable opponent behind his dangerous kickboxing. He pairs powerful hands with fast kicks, giving him serious finishing ability on the feet. Add to that a formidable ground game. Charriere is tough to beat when he’s on his A-game — and he very much has been when fighting in his backyard.

Felipe Lima is returning to 145 pounds after coming up short against top bantamweight prospect Payton Talbott in June 2025. The loss halted a 14-fight win streak for “Jungle Boy,” unbeaten since his professional debut nearly 10 years prior.
The Brazilian prospect, 28, will make his first walk to the cage in more than a year, looking to rebound and resume his climb up the featherweight ladder. To do so, he’ll likely lean on his high fight IQ, elite defense, and aggressive grappling.
Charriere vs. Lima Pick, Best Bet
While Felipe Lima has all the makings of a problem at 145 pounds, he faces a steep uphill battle on Saturday night against Morgan Charriere.
Both fighters have exceptional takedown defense at 83 and 85 percent, respectively, so this bout should stay on the feet. Consistency issues aside, “The Last Pirate” should hold an edge in that scenario due to his aggressive kickboxing and serious finishing upside.
He also enters with superior Octagon experience — and home-court advantage. With the French crowd behind him, there’s legitimate value in backing Charriere to stage an upset victory.
