Arsenal vs. Chelsea Prediction, Pick
This bet can be found under the “Match Parlays” tab. Both of these teams have started the new Premier League season perfectly. Arsenal have beaten both Coventry City and Aston Villa, while Chelsea have taken down Fulham and Brighton. Someone’s perfect record is coming to an end on Sunday, who’s will it be?
Arsenal have been business as usual so far in this campaign, with their defense stealing the show. The Gunners have allowed no goals and only one shot on target across the opening 180 minutes of the season, and keep in mind that they’re doing that without Jurrien Timber and William Saliba. It’s been the opposite approach for Chelsea, whose front three of João Pedro, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers have been firing on all cylinders. They’ve scored seven times in two games, but there are questions at the back as they have conceded five times. It’s going to be good versus good on Sunday as this Chelsea attack tries to unlock the best defense in England.
Arsenal have absolutely dominated this fixture in recent seasons. Chelsea last beat the Gunners in August of 2021. Since then, these teams have met up 11 times. Arsenal have won eight of those games and the other three ended in draws. In eight of those 11 games, two or more goals were scored.
Just last season they met up four times after being drawn against each other in a two-legged Carabao Cup semi-final, with Arsenal winning three of those matches. History is firmly on the Gunners’ side and I think they will win against the Blues once again. Going back to the end of last season, Arsenal have won seven straight Premier League games. It’s been a good start to the season for Chelsea, but now they face the reigning champions at the Emirates. I don’t expect this to be a blowout but Arsenal should have enough to pick up the three points with also two or more goals being scored in this match.
