We’re finally back from the WNBA All-Star break, which saw Team Spoon taking the win over Team Coop in a 129-122 affair. And what better way to return from the break than a five game slate, tipping off at 7:30 PM EST tonight between the Mystics and the Sun? The night will conclude with the Sparks hosting the Liberty at 10 PM.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
A’ja Wilson More Than 27.5 Points
Wilson’s 26.1 PPG season average sits slightly below this line, but Portland has yet to show it can handle her. She scored 32 points in each of the first two meetings, giving us two clean examples of Wilson reaching this number against the same frontcourt. She also entered the All-Star break on an absolute heater, scoring 38 points against Washington in her most recent game. Portland has allowed 90.6 PPG, and Wilson should continue getting the combination of paint touches and free throws that powered her previous performances. She needs 28 points, but her established success in this matchup makes this the strongest option on the slate.
Caitlin Clark More Than 29.5 Points + Assists
Clark has cleared this line in both meetings with Seattle, recording 21 points and 10 assists in the first matchup before exploding for 45 points and 10 assists in the rematch. Her season averages of 21.0 PPG and 7.9 APG fall just short of the listed total, but Seattle has been unable to take away both parts of her game.
Sending extra attention toward shutting down Clark’s shooting concedes passing opportunities for her, while softer coverage allows Clark the space to score herself. She also produced 27 points and 11 assists against Connecticut immediately before the break. Clark is probable with her lingering back issue, but assuming she plays as expected, we’re banking on Seattle struggling with the same problems for a third time.
Shakira Austin More Than 14.5 Points
Austin’s recent production makes the line look increasingly affordable. She has averaged 19.1 points over her last eight games and led Washington with 25 points in its upset of Las Vegas before the break. The Mystics have become more comfortable featuring Austin inside, and her scoring no longer depends entirely on putbacks or broken possessions. Connecticut will also be without Brittney Griner, removing an experienced 6-foot-9 defender from its interior rotation. Austin has scored at least 17 points in six of her last eight games, and another steady workload should give her a strong opportunity to reach 15.

Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
