What is The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On?
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On is a Netflix original dating reality show hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Unlike most dating shows, this show does not feature single people, it features couples. One person in the couple has issued an ultimatum to their partner. Either it is time to get married, or they are done with the relationship.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On is an eight-week experiment. First, the couples break apart and get the chance to interact with all of the other participants. The next step is for every participant to couple up with someone other than their original partner. That couple will live together for three weeks. For some, it will be completely platonic, while for others, romance could blossom. This is a chance for the participants to see what it’s like living with someone who isn’t their partner.
After that, the participants go back to their original partner and spend three more weeks living with them. This allows them to compare their real-life partner with the person they coupled up with on the show. For some, it puts things into perspective and makes them remember why they love their partner. For others, it will prove that something was wrong in their relationship.
The series ends with the couples deciding to marry their original partner, to break up and give things a chance with the person they recoupled with or to simply leave the show as a single person.

Alex and Jebin
In an unprecedented moment, Alex and Jebin were removed from the show before the experiment even really started. The night before the couples were supposed to choose who to have their trial marriage with, Jebin snuck Alex a note sharing how much he did not want to be a part of this experiment. The secret note goes against the principles of being on a show like this in many ways, so Jebin was asked to leave. Unfortunately, that meant Alex also had to leave to keep the numbers equal.
Result: Removed from the show; broken up since
Jessica Grace and Edris
This was another unconventional couple. Edris seemed not to be jiving with the show whatsoever and had no interest in entering into a trial marriage. So, maybe just out of desperation, proposed to his girlfriend, Jessica Grace. She said yes, and they left the show together then and there. However, in the following months, they broke off their engagement.
Result: Engaged on the show; broke up since
Luke and Monica
Luke and Monica had a rollercoaster of a journey on The Ultimatum. However, they ended up choosing each other and getting engaged at the end of the series. It was revealed that Luke has since proposed to Monica a second time, making the engagement more official. The two plan on getting married in the coming months.

Casey and David
David was one of the more controversial figures on this season of the show. Despite that, he and Casey ended up getting engaged at the end of the season. Of all six couples featured on the season, Casey and David were the only couple that was married by the time the reunion filmed.

Ashley and Killian
Ashley and Killian’s toxic relationship was fodder for Netflix reality TV fans over the past couple of weeks. The couple did end up getting engaged at the end of the season, but everything that happened after that seemed like a disaster. Due to a multitude of reasons, they ended up breaking off the engagement. One of the reasons apparently being that Killian broke both of his legs simultaneously during a backflip accident. Seriously.

Blake and Hayley
Blake and Hayley were a couple that seemed doomed from the start. Blake was much more into Blake than he was into Hayley from the jump. These two also ended up getting engaged on the show, but could not make it work after the cameras went down.
