Tuesday’s game between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park has been postponed due to inclement weather.
First pitch was initially scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET in Boston tonight but rain in the area has resulted in the game’s postponement.
Now, the matchup has been rescheduled and will be made up as part of a split doubleheader tomorrow (Wednesday, July 22). Game one will begin at 1:35 p.m. ET with game two set for 7:10 p.m.
If the pitching matchups previously scheduled for Tuesday hold, Orioles RHP Kyle Bradish (6-9, 3.61 ERA, 106 SO) will take on Red Sox LHP Eduardo Rivera (0-0, 2.89 ERA, 9 SO) as an opener.
This game is particularly notable as the Red Sox take a 14-game winning streak — the second longest in franchise history — into the matchup. If they win, they’ll tie the franchise record at 15 consecutive victories.
Baltimore is 49-52 on the year and at fourth in the AL East. Boston has surged to 51-48 and is 6.0 games shy of first place in the division after entering a Wild Card berth as things currently stand.
