Wednesday afternoon, a massive boxing fight was announced! Ryan Garcia will defend his WBC Welterweight Championship against Conor Benn on September 12 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This card will be presented by The Ring Magazine and co-promoted with Zuffa Boxing and Golden Boy Promotions. Garcia vs. Benn will air on Paramount+ in the United States and on DAZN in the UK and Ireland.
Garcia, 27, is 25-2 with 20 knockouts in his career and defeated Mario Barrios in his previous fight to win the WBC title. This will be Garcia’s second fight in 2026, the first calendar year he has had two bouts since 2023. Conor Benn, the son of Nigel Benn, has become a massive star in the U.K. Benn has won two straight fights since suffering his first career loss to Chris Eubank Jr. in November 2025. In his last contest, Benn beat Regis Prograis by unanimous decision in April. Benn has a record of 25-1 with 14 wins by knockout. This fight took a while to become official because Benn is with Zuffa Boxing, while Garcia is signed to Golden Boy Promotions. Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya have had a longstanding feud.
