The featured Prelim for UFC 329 is former Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker making his 205-pound debut against No. 12 Nikita Krylov. Whittaker is coming off two consecutive losses to Reinier de Ridder and Khamzat Chimaev, as Krylov recently got back in the win column against Modestas Bukauskas.

Check out my best bet for Nikita Krylov vs. Robert Whittaker at UFC 329.

Robert Whittaker Moneyline (-120)

Whittaker’s last win came against Ikram Aliskerov in June 2024, and since 2022, the former champion is 3-4. After losing two straight and dropping down the Middleweight rankings, Whittaker is ready to embark on a new challenge at Light Heavyweight. Krylov has been in the UFC since 2018 and is 4-2 in his last six contests.

For this fight, Whittaker is a -120 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, as Krylov is a +100 underdog. This fight has an over/under of 1.5 rounds, with the over at -175 and the under at +135. As expected since Whittaker is moving up a weight division, Krylov has the height (6’3″ vs. 6’0″) and reach (77″ vs. 73″) advantage in this fight.

Although Whittaker is coming off two losses and is moving up a weight division, he is still a different caliber of fighter than Krylov. Even though Whittaker is the smaller fighter physically, he is used to that as he has fought many bigger guys in the past. Krylov is better on the ground, which means Whittaker must display elite takedown defense to keep it on its feet. Whittaker has an 82 percent takedown rate, which should come in handy against Krylov. On the feet, Whittaker lands more significant strikes per minute and is better defensively as well. If Whittaker is the more aggressive fighter with a higher output on the feet, he should be able to get the best of Krylov in this contest.
