NRFI Bets Today: No Run First Inning Predictions for Tuesday 7/7/26

Baseball is faster than ever with the implementation of the pitch clock, but the DraftKings Sportsbook also has a market for those who still can’t wait 2.5 hours for results. NRFI bets (No Run First Inning) are exactly what they sound like. They give the bettor the ability to wager specifically on the outcome of a game’s opening frame. Will either team score a run? Yes or no? It’s that simple.

With that in mind, here are my top two NRFI picks for Tuesday’s full slate of MLB action.

NRFI Bet TodayOddsWhy I Like the Pick
Blue Jays at Giants-140Toronto has scored three total runs in its past four games. Over the past two weeks, the Jays are slashing .194/.246/.307 as a team with a 54 wRC+. Trevor McDonald, on the heels of throwing six scoreless innings last Wednesday, should continue to shut them down. Spencer Miles and his 2.83 ERA should have a similar result on the other side.
Mariners at Marlins-135Dating back to May 18, Max Meyer’s 1.95 ERA ranks behind only Jacob Misiorowski (0.85) and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (1.48) in the senior circuit. While Bryan Woo’s 3.00 FIP speaks louder than his 4.17 ERA, which is solely a product of a 61.7% strand rate — the lowest qualified mark in MLB.

Toronto Blue Jays at San Francisco Giants NRFI (-140)

You don’t have to overthink this one too much.

Let’s start with the Blue Jays, who are once again mired in an absolutely horrendous offensive slump. Toronto has scored three total runs in its past four games. If you want to widen the span of time to the past two weeks, the Jays are slashing .194/.246/.307 as a team with a 54 wRC+. It’s a stunning fall from grace for a squad that was two outs away from a World Series in November. The Giants are swinging the bats a little bit better by comparison, but that’s a pretty low bar to clear. This is still a lineup that ranks 22nd in runs (374) and 25th in expected wOBA (.311) for the season as a whole.

Don’t sleep on this starting pitching matchup, either. Trevor McDonald just threw six scoreless innings of one-hit ball against the Diamondbacks last Wednesday, while Spencer Miles was dotting 99mph sinkers as a bulk man versus the Mets on Canada Day. This is also a revenge spot for Miles, as he was a Rule 5 pick from San Francisco this past offseason. Over 54.0 innings, the 25-year-old rookie owns a sterling 2.83 ERA and a 2.98 FIP.

Seattle Mariners at Miami Marlins NRFI (-135)

Max Meyer and Bryan Woo might not be household names, but goodness is this a sneaky amazing pitchers’ duel.

Let’s start with Meyer, who has flat out been one of the NL’s top arms since mid-May. In fact, dating back to May 18, Meyer’s 1.95 ERA ranks behind only Jacob Misiorowski (0.85) and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (1.48) in the senior circuit. That’s some pretty phenomenal company to be keeping. Formerly the third-overall pick in 2020, Meyer has battled injury to finally have his breakout in 2026, where he’s already almost doubled his career output in innings thrown (103.0). Meanwhile, Seattle’s hitting .228 with a .116 ISO over the past two weeks. Julio Rodriguez (concussion) is on the IL. This is a wonderful time to draw the Mariners.

Then there’s Woo. Ignore the right-hander’s current 4.17 ERA. That’s not a true mark of how dominant Woo can be. If not for 61.7% strand rate — the lowest qualified mark in MLB — Woo would be having a much better campaign, and you don’t have to look any further than his 3.00 FIP as evidence. All of the Marlins’ bats are hot at the moment, but I’ll still take my chances with Woo.
