Best MLB Strikeout Prop Bets Today (May 29, 2026)
- Miami Marlins vs. New York Mets: Marlins RHP Max Meyer 6+ strikeouts: Meyer has recorded at least 6 K every time he has pitched into the 6th inning this season, and he is going against a Mets team that ranks dead-last in OPS+ and struck out 8 times against the righty last weekend.
- Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals: Cubs LHP Shota Imanaga 6+ strikeouts: Imanaga has reached 6+ strikeouts in 7 of his 11 starts this season, including 6 of the 8 that have lasted into the 6th, plus he struck out 9 the last time he pitched in St. Louis.
- San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies: Giants RHP Logan Webb 5+ strikeouts: Webb is going against one of the most strikeout-prone lineups in baseball, not to mention the fact that he had gone for 5+ strikeouts in 6 of 7 outings prior to his knee injury getting in the way.
MLB Strikeout Prop Bets Breakdown
Max Meyer 6+ K (-156), Miami Marlins vs. New York Mets
On the whole this season, Meyer is averaging 6.2 strikeouts per game, reaching at least 6 in six of his 11 starts. He has achieved the feat in three straight outings, including his eight-punchout performance against the Mets on May 23. New York owns an MLB-worst 84 OPS+, so it’s unlikely they chase him off the mound early. Over their last seven contests, New York is scoring 1.6 runs per game, allowing six of the opposing starters to go beyond 5.0 IP. And when Meyer lasts into the sixth inning, he is 5-for-5 when it comes to posting 6+ strikeouts. He has reached five strikeouts in all but one appearance this season, so the floor is high and close to that six-strikeout threshold.
Shota Imanaga 6+ K (+128), Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals
To put it kindly, Imanaga has been spotty as of late. The 2.32 ERA he had through nine starts is now up to 4.04 just two outings later. He has given up five homers and 15 earned runs in his last two starts after allowing five homers and 14 earned runs in his first nine. Still, he completed 6.0 innings and reached six strikeouts against the Astros his last time out. Imanaga has gone for 6+ K in seven of 11 appearances overall, including three of his four road starts. The southpaw has notched 6+ K in six of his eight starts that went into the sixth inning. St. Louis has scored just two runs over their last three games, one of which featured a 12-strikeout showing from Brewers youngster Jacob Misiorowski. It’s also worth noting that Imanaga tossed nine strikeouts in 6.2 frames the last time he pitched in St. Louis last August. Between Jordan Walker, Nolan Gorman, Pedro Pagés, Victor Scott and Thomas Saggese, the Cardinals have a handful of guys with strikeout rates over 24% who Imanaga could pick on.
Logan Webb 5+ K (+113), San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies
Webb has been on the injured list with right knee bursitis for a few weeks now. The last time he took the mound in the majors, the two-time All-Star gave up six earned runs and only struck out four batters in 4.0 innings. Prior to that meltdown on May 5, however, Webb he reached 5+ strikeouts in four straight and six out of his seven appearances. He had also lasted 6.0 innings or more in six consecutive starts. The righty stayed warm with a 3.1-inning outing a week ago, so he should be able to build back up to a normal workload in short order. Webb also notched 6+ K in all three of his starts against the Rockies last season. The reigning NL strikeout champion is a true workhorse, so the length of his leash is the most important factor in Friday’s series opener. Colorado, after all, has struck out more times than any other NL squad besides the Pirates this season.
