The Celtics and 76ers continue their first round series with Game 2 in Boston on Tuesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Celtics are favored by 14.5 points and this game carries a total of 216.5 points.
Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Tuesday’s contest.
Best Celtics vs. 76ers Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Jayson Tatum O 5.5 Assists (-115)
Tatum’s playmaking has been outstanding. The Duke product dished out seven assists in Sunday’s Game 1 win over the 76ers. He has recorded at least seven assists in six of his last seven. Since making his season debut last month, Tatum is leading the Celtics with 10.0 potential assists per game.
Tatum has been especially fond of finding Neemias Queta. Tatum and Queta didn’t have much court time together before Tatum returned last month, but the two starters have displayed great chemistry since, with Tatum finding Queta for 23 assists in just 17 games together. With Joel Embiid (out, appendix) missing in the paint, Tatum should continue to find Queta often in this series. All in all, Tatum’s excellent run as a facilitator should continue in Game 2 and 5.5 assists is simply too low of a line for the superstar.
Neemias Queta O 9.5 Points (-122)
Speaking of Queta, the ascending big man scored 13 points in Game 1 while shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the field. Queta did this damage despite only playing 15 minutes due to five fouls. The center doesn’t get in severe foul trouble like this often, committing only five or more fouls in 11 of his 77 games this season. Queta should get back to playing near his 25.3-minute per game average in Game 2.
Largely due to Tatum looking for him often, Queta has surpassed 9.5 points in eight of his last 10. The 76ers are a weak defense with Embiid sidelined. With him inactive for the Celtics’ second-to-last meeting with Philadelphia last month, Queta dominated with a career-high 27 points.
Paul George U 5.5 Rebounds (-150)
George has only exceeded 5.5 rebounds once in his last 10 starts and he should fall short of this line again in Game 2. With Embiid sidelined, George’s rebounding decreases to 4.6 rebounds per game, compared to 5.6 with Embiid active.
This is due to Andre Drummond seeing a bigger role with Embiid inactive, as Drummond is a far more aggressive rebounder than Embiid. This season, Embiid owns a 13.3% rebound rate, which is very underwhelming compared to Drummond at 23.3%. To further hurt George’s case as a rebounder, the Celtics by no means are an appealing matchup for rebounding. Boston ranks dead last in pace and it is giving up the sixth-fewest rebounds per game this season.
