Cutelaba (19–11–1, 8–10–1 UFC) has won three of his last five bouts but will look to bounce back from a split-decision loss to Modestas Bukauskas last May. Sy (12–1, 3–1 UFC) rebounded from his first professional loss — a unanimous decision to Alonzo Menifield in June — with a first-round TKO of Brendson Ribeiro in September.

Aptly nicknamed “The Hulk,” Cutelaba is an explosive brawler and power grappler that welcomes chaos in early exchanges. At his best, he’s blitzing with the poise of an NFL linebacker, eroding opponents with an early storm of punches and takedown attempts. It’s no surprise that Cutelaba boasts an 84% career finish rate, including 15 first-round finishes — and 10 stoppages in 1:13 or less.
Oumar Sy
Oumar Sy did exactly what a top prospect should. After suffering his first professional loss — a competitive unanimous decision to Alonzo Menifield — the French contender bounced back with a dominant, first-round TKO of Brendson Ribeiro in September.
Sy, 30, stands 6-foot-4 with an 83-inch reach — his towering frame complementing a measured, technical style and sharp fight IQ. He controls pace and sidesteps chaotic exchanges behind his calculated approach and elite defense. Across four UFC bouts, Sy owns a 70% strike defense and has yet to be taken down.
That’s not to say he’s boring. Sy is a well-rounded contender that can dictate pace, control range, and capitalize on opponent mistakes — whether on the feet or the mat. Nine of his 12 professional wins have come inside the distance, including five knockouts and four submissions. Eight of his bouts were stopped in the first round.

Following an emphatic rebound performance, it seems increasingly likely that Sy keeps the momentum rolling Saturday night against Cutelaba. The methodical, disciplined French fighter should eschew “The Hulk’s” initial barrage before steadily picking him apart at range with his polished kickboxing.
The longer the fight continues, the more the scale tips in Sy’s favor. Expect him to draw things out against the explosive Moldovan, either coasting to a comfortable decision or finding an opening for a late finish.
