James Harden has been ruled out for Monday’s matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers for personal reasons.
This marks the second consecutive game that the 11-time All-Star missed. Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard is not listed on the injury report and is expected to suit up for the second night of LA’s back-to-back.
Harden has suited up for 44 of the Clippers’ 48 games thus far this season. The former MVP is averaging 25.4 points, 8.1 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game, playing a large role in spearheading LA’s season turnaround.
Following a brutal 6-21 start, the Clippers have gone 17-4 to claw their way back into the postseason mix. They’ve won 10 of their last 12 matchups heading into Monday night.
The Clippers now sit in ninth place in the Western Conference, and there has been some criticism following Harden and Leonard both being left off the Western Conference All-Star roster.
The Clippers opened as 1.5-point favorites for Monday’s matchup against Harden’s former team. Following his status update, Philadelphia has flipped to a 1.5-point favorite with -115 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 218.5 points.
