The third fight on today’s UFC 325 card features an exciting Lightweight contest between No. 9 Rafael Fiziev vs. No. 14 Mauricio Ruffy. This is the second of three Lightweight fight on the UFC 325 Main Card. Fiziev enters this contest off a victory against Ignacio Bahamondes in June 2025, while Ruffy’s seven-fight winning streak came to an end against Benoit Saint Denis in September 2025.

Mauricio Ruffy Moneyline (-120)
From July 2022 to March 2025, Ruffy won seven consecutive fights, with six of them coming by knockout. Ruffey is now coming off his first loss since 2019, but is still an intriguing UFC prospect at 29 years old. Ruffy is still a member of Brazil’s popular MMA team, The Fighting Nerds. But Riuffy spent a ton of time training at City Kickboxing in Auckland, New Zealand, for this camp. Eugene Bareman, the head coach for City Kickboxing, has led fighters to UFC gold, Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski, while also working with contenders Dan Hooker and Carlos Ulberg. It is encouraging to see Ruffy continue to want to grow as a fighter rather than stagnate after a loss.
Fiziev, 32, is a UFC veteran in this contest, having been in the promotion since 2019. The last time Fiziev won two fights in a row was in 2022. In this matchup, Ruffy has the height (5’11” vs. 5’8″) and reach (75″ vs. 71″) advantage against Fiziev. Fiziev lands more significant strikes per minute (4.77 vs. 3.84), but Ruffy is the more accurate striker (57% vs. 52%).
Ruffy is a slight favorite in this contest at -120 with Fiziev being a +100 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. Fiziev is a powerful, good striker, but Ruffy has more knockout power. Ruffy has the physical advantages that should allow him to use his switchy, rangy style on the feet to dictate the pace of this fight. If Ruffy carries the confidence that he showed in his previous winning streak, not only does he have a great chance to pick up the victory, but a finish is possible as well.
