UPDATE: Stover has been ruled out for the rest of the game.
With 12:16 left in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, Cade Stover attempted to catch a pass near the right sideline. Unfortunately, he injured his knee while trying to reach for a pass that was behind him. Stover had to be helped off the field and is now in the medical tent.
Prior to exiting, Stover contributed one catch on three targets for two yards.
Starting tight end Dalton Schultz suffered a calf injury in the second quarter and is done for the night. With both Schultz and Stover out, Harrison Bryant elevates to the top of the tight end depth chart. Bryant garnered six targets on the season.
Nico Collins and Schultz were the only Texans that garnered over 100 targets on the season.
