BYU vs. Utah (10:00 p.m. ET)
AJ Dybantsa has been one of the best players in college basketball this season, averaging 23.1 points per game (fourth in CBB) as a freshman. He has been BYU’s best player this season, but he hasn’t been the only one producing for the Cougars. Richie Saunders and Rob Wright III are both having tremendous seasons as well. Saunders is averaging 19.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting 41.7 percent on three-pointers. The lone blemish on BYU’s resume this season has been its loss against UConn, which was by only two points. Since then, BYU has won 11 consecutive games.
Utah has lost three straight games and four of its last five. They have struggled a ton on offense, scoring only 73, 78, and 65 points in their last three games. Terrence Brown has had an elite season for Utah so far, leading the team with 21.4 points. Don McHenry scored 18.5 points per game, but Utah lacks the depth needed to keep up with BYU.
BYU has been dominating teams, winning five of its previous six games by at least 14 points. The Cougars are coming off a 28-point win over Arizona State on January 7. The elite trio of Dybantsa, Saunders, and Wright makes this BYU team extremely difficult to beat on any night.
