Rhamondre Stevenson has been a man on a mission since returning from injury, and that mission was simple: Remind people why the New England backfield was drawing David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs comparisons between him and TreVeyon Henderson heading into the year.
With all due respect to Montgomery, Stevenson has a lot more tools in his bag. The veteran isn’t just a top-tier power option, but also one of the game’s best receiving backs. Rhamondre recorded a pair of receiving touchdowns across the final two weeks of the regular season to go along with three additional rushing touchdowns.
Make no mistake, Henderson is going to continue to see double-digit touches himself, but there is no Patriots playmaker hotter than Stevenson heading into the postseason.
