UPDATE: Will 8:47 left in the third quarter, Duren was replaced by Javonte Green and has now been ruled out for the remainder of the game. Durent finished with 12 points, five rebounds and a steal in 18 minutes.

UPDATE: Duren will start the second half.

With 54.3 seconds left in the second quarter of Thursday’s game against the Miami Heat, Jalen Duren was replaced by Isaiah Stewart. Duren may have rolled his ankle a few plays earlier but was still able to play. He eventually made his way into the locker room a little earlier than expected.

Prior to exiting, Duren contributed 12 points and five rebounds in 15 minutes of action.

Stewart did start alongside Duren in this one due to Tobias Harris’ injury. If Duren remains out, the Pistons will likely have to play small with Javonte Green and Ron Holland II. Paul Reed is also an option if Detroit wants a little more size.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
