UPDATE: Davis will not return.
With 8:50 left in the second quarter of Thursday’s game against the Golden State Warriors, Anthony Davis was replaced by P.J. Washington. Davis leaked out in transition after deflecting a pass on defense but suffered an injury to his lower body while running down the court.
Davis is now in the locker room.
Prior to exiting, Davis contributed three points, three rebounds, a steal and two blocks in 11 minutes of action.
Washington will likely play some small-ball center, but Daniel Gafford should see an uptick in playing time while Davis is out.
