It’s been a trying season for Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles. The defending Super Bowl champs have struggled through offensive inconsistencies and injuries, but still find themselves atop the NFC East. A win against their rivals, the Washington Commanders, would clinch the division and home-field advantage for the Wild Card round — potentially lifting a huge weight off their shoulders.
Philadelphia is a seven-point favorite with -340 moneyline odds, while Washington is a +270 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 44.5 points.

Best Jalen Hurts Prop Bets
Jalen Hurts’ up-and-down season has been the subject of much debate. His WR1 has publicly stirred trouble, his offensive coordinator is the target of ire from fans, and the offense has looked JV at times. Nothing better describes his mercurial play than the last two games. Against the Chargers in Week 14, Hurts turned the ball over five times, including a game-ending interception in overtime. Immediately after, he diced up the Raiders in Week 15 for three touchdowns and no turnovers in a 31-0 rout. It’s anyone’s guess how he will perform against Washington.
Luckily for Hurts, he gets a matchup with one of the NFL’s weakest secondaries. Washington ranks dead last in opponent yards per passing attempt, 28th in total passing yards allowed, and 29th in passing touchdowns allowed. It’s a get-right opportunity if there ever was one.
The potential drawback for Hurts is the game script. If Philly runs up the score early and decides to bleed the game away on the ground, his passing numbers may suffer. Still, I’m counting on early production to sustain him, with a fair dose of play-action and screening down the stretch to keep the defense guessing. With a chance to clinch the division on the line, Philly won’t get cute. They’re looking to bury the Commanders early — and that starts with Hurts.
