Is Rams WR Davante Adams playing in Week 16 against the Seahawks?

The Los Angeles Rams pulled off a big win on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, but it came at a high cost. Star wide receiver Davante Adams went down with a hamstring injury and was forced to leave the game, and it sure didn’t look good in real time.

There’s good news and bad news for the Rams. The good is that Adam’s season isn’t over. With no significant injury showing up on his scans, this is not the last we will see of Adams this year. The bad news is that his designation casts serious doubt for his availability on Thursday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks.

A “week-to-week” designation would have made playing next Sunday awfully difficult. With the short turnaround time, Adams is all but toast when it comes to this Thursday Night Football matchup. It’s a particularly rough matchup to miss. Both the Seahawks and Rams are 11-3, tied for the lead in the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers are right behind them both at 10-4. A Rams win would all but seal the division and put them in the drivers’ seat for the No. 1 seed; a loss puts everything in jeopardy. Not having their top red-zone threat is a huge blow.

Adams, 33, has 60 catches on 114 targets for 789 yards this season. All of those marks are second on the team behind Puka Nacua. Adams’ 14 receiving touchdowns lead the entire NFL.

Stay tuned for more updates on Davante Adams’ injury status.
