Nottingham Forest vs. Tottenham prediction, pick for Sunday 12/14/25

Sunday’s slate finds two of the most frustrating clubs in the English Premier League facing off. Tottenham Hotspur, the reigning Europa League winners, are mired in their second straight disappointing EPL campaign. Nottingham Forest have disappointed as well, tumbling to 17th in the table and finding themselves in an early relegation battle. Both sides are looking to get back on track.

Nottingham Forest are +150 favorites on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the draw priced at +235. If you’re keen on a Tottenham upset, they’re at +180 on the moneyline. The total for this match is set at 2.5 goals. Let’s dig into a prediction and pick for this Nottingham Forest-Tottenham match.

Nottingham Forest vs. Tottenham Prediction, Pick

It’s been a confusing season for Nottingham Forest, to say the least. After qualifying for the Europa League with their seventh-place finish in the EPL last year, that campaign has been a success. They’re 3-2-1 in group play and seem likely to qualify for the next stage. Life in the Premier League has been a different story; they’re 4-3-8 through 15 matches, and are just a hair above the relegation zone.

Frustrating losses to West Ham, Sunderland, and Bournemouth have cost them enough. Then there are the listless performances against sides they should be competitive with, like Everton and Brighton. Much was expected of this squad after they spent big upon their promotion in 2022-23; if things don’t shape up soon, they’ll be just another club that burned bright and flamed out in the Prem.

But they do have one diamond in the rough. Elliot Anderson has been one of the best, if not the best, box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League this season. Without him, they’d be lost.

Tottenham is similarly adrift. They dropped from fifth in the table in 2023-24 to 17th in 2024-25. At the same time, they secured their first trophy in 17 years, winning the Europa League in a dramatic final against Manchester United. This year has been strikingly similar. Tottenham are 11th in the EPL table, which is not exactly where they wanted to be, but they’re on pace to reach the next qualifying round of the Champions League. It’s a confusing divide in their play.

They should be in better standing based on their talent and their goals-for/goals-against splits. Tottenham are +7 on the season; every team ahead of them in goal differential is in the top five of the table. But, at a certain point, you can’t blame luck. You have to go out and win the games.

Adding to the confusion is the home-away split. Playing at home, Tottenham are 2-2-4 with a +1 goal differential. On the road, they’re 4-2-1 with a +6 differential. If they played every game on the road, they’d be a title contender. The home fans must feel a bit miffed. Luckily for Tottenham (and unluckily for Nottingham Forest), they’re on the road here.

I expect that road form to persist. Tottenham will continue their bizarre play with a convincing road win over Forest, possibly sending Nottingham into the relegation zone.

Best Bet: Tottenham Hotspur Moneyline +180
