Dart ($5,600) missed last week’s loss to the Packers with a concussion, but the quarterback is trending toward playing this Sunday vs. the Lions barring a setback, per Giants’ HC Mike Kafka.
Before missing Week 11 vs. Green Bay, Dart was on a roll, scoring over 27 FPTS in back-to-back games. While the rookie hasn’t been the most efficient passer this season, averaging 6.9 YPA, Dart has thrown 10 touchdowns to three interceptions in his seven starts and his willingness to run has made him a great fantasy option.
Dart is averaging 7.9 rushes per game in his seven starts, which ranks first among all quarterbacks. The 22-year-old has seen 14 redzone carries and he is rushing the ball on 12% of his snaps. Given his elite role as a rusher, Dart ranks second among all quarterbacks in FPTS per dropback this season (0.68), trailing only Josh Allen.
However, after suffering a concussion and with Brian Daboll no longer calling the shots for the Giants, Dart is likely to see less deigned runs going forward. Still, Dart is naturally going rush more than a normal quarterback and at least five carries is a fair expectation for him this Sunday vs. the Lions. Detroit is PFF’s third-highest graded defense this season, but this matchup carries a 50.5-point total on DraftKings Sportsbook, which is tied for the largest total of Week 12.
Dart has a ceiling near 30 FPTS in this setting and he is a strong start for all formats this week, especially in DFS on DraftKings, as many may avoid the quarterback with him coming off an injury.
