Week 11 of the Sunday slate will conclude in an NFC thriller between the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams rank in the top three in their odds to win the conference on DraftKings Sportsbook and this will be an intriguing measuring stick matchup for both sides.
The Eagles are off to a 7-2 start to the season and are successfully defending their Super Bowl title. Despite some off-field drama involving A.J. Brown and the offense not fully living up to expectations, they hold the best record in the NFC.
Detroit is off to a 6-3 start to the season and is tied with the Chicago Bears for the top spot in the NFC North. It has not been a seamless season for them either, with Dan Campbell taking back play call control as a recent storyline, but all goals remain on the table.
Looking at the odds of this matchup, the Eagles enter as 2.5-point favorites, and hold -155 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Lions hold +130 odds of winning outright, and the game total is set at O/U 46.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action beyond just backing a side. This article will look at my three favorite prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for the Week 11 Sunday Night Football matchup.
Lions at Eagles Best Prop Bets
Saquon Barkley Over 70.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
It has not been a strong start to the season for Saquon Barkley by his sky-high standards. Coming off one of the best individual seasons in NFL history, the reigning Offensive Player of the Year’s legs have looked a bit heavy at the start of the season. Through his opening nine games, Barkley has tallied just 579 rushing yards and four touchdowns. His 64.3 rushing yards per game are his lowest since 2021 and well below the 125.3 rushing yards per game he averaged last year.
But Barkley showed some renewed pop last week with 101 combined rushing and receiving yards, and picked up 150 yards on the ground ,the week prior. Detroit has a respectable defense but it can be vulnerable on the ground. They rank 13th in points allowed, eighth in rushing yards conceded, and ninth in EPA per rush play. But these numbers are a bit inflated by the way the Lions’ high-powered offense has allowed them to jump out to leads and force opponents to play from behind.
Philadelphia is committed to its running game regardless of the score, sometimes to a fault. Barkley is averaging 16.6 rush attempts per game and has tallied 18+ attempts on the ground in six games. He has the big-play ability to break free for a massive game gain on any opportunity. The Eagles’ star is beginning to find his form again and remains the main identity of the offensive attack. Expect Barkley to break free for at least one massive gain and record over 70.5 rushing yards in the primetime matchup.
Jahmyr Gibbs to Record 100+ Rushing & Receiving Yards (+130)
On the other side of the running back battle, Jahmyr Gibbs has cemented his place as one of the most elite rushing talents in the league. Through the opening nine games, the Alabama product has tallied 128 rush attempts for 693 rushing yards, 227 receiving yards, and 10 total touchdowns. While David Montgomery still plays a role, Gibbs has established himself as the more dominant offensive weapon. After playing 57% and 56% of the snaps in his first two seasons, he is logging over 60% of the snaps on the season and has tallied as many as 69.1% of the offensive snaps in a game.
The Eagles have a strong overall defense, but are more vulnerable against the run. They are giving up 118 yards per game on the ground this season and rank 21st in net yards per rush attempt. Philadelphia has also been vulnerable to opposing running backs in the passing game. So far this year, opposing running backs are averaging 35.4 receiving yards when facing the Eagles. Gibbs is averaging 25.2 receiving yards per game and tallied 30.4 receiving yards per game last season.
Gibbs has the big-play ability to take any touch for a massive gain and change the outlook of a game or a drive. He has tallied 100+ yards from scrimmage in three games, while also producing a pair of games with 99 and 97 yards from scrimmage. This is a matchup where both teams feel destined to put some points on the board, and Gibbs will be at the epicenter of the production for Detroit. Expect him to break free for a notable gain throughout and eclipse 100+ yards for the fourth time this year.
A.J. Brown Anytime Touchdown (+145)
If you do want to hear some criticisms of this Eagles’ offense, just ask A.J. Brown. The star wide receiver has made quite a few headlines in recent weeks and voiced his frustration with not being involved enough in the offensive attack. Through eight games, Brown has tallied just 31 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns. He is on pace for a career-worst season.
Closed mouths do not get fed, and Brown is making as clear a case as he can to be more involved. You can argue against his approach in for presenting these issues, but the three-time Pro Bowler is not fully wrong in his critiques. The Eagles rank 30th in pass attempts and 25th in passing yards on the season. Philadelphia is at their best as a run-first football team, but more balance would be a benefit to all.
This should especially come into play around the goal line, with Detroit ranking 27th in passing touchdowns allowed. Brown tallied 25 touchdowns through his first three seasons with the Eagles. They squeezed by the Packers with a 10-7 victory last week, but will need more offensive production to take down Detroit. If Brown was able to pull in the long attempt to ice the game late in the previous victory, there probably is a much different tune in this entire conversation. Expect the star pass catcher to see plenty of pass volume and reach the end zone for the fourth time this year. Making him a little happier and leaning on the passing attack at a greater rate is a benefit to all. Expect Philadelphia to be motivated to get him the football, even if it is just to quiet him down.
