The 2025 MLB awards season has come and gone, with the league announcing AL MVP and NL MVP on Thursday night. Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge narrowly beat out Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh for the former, while Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani won the latter in a unanimous landslide. Even though the next round of awards is 12 months out, DraftKings Sportsbook already has odds for 2026 MVP.
As expected, Judge and Ohtani are the favorites once again. Judge already has three MVPs in his career, making him one of 13 players to win the award that many times. Ohtani, on the other hand, has four – two AL and now two NL. Only Ohtani and Barry Bonds – who finished his career with seven MVPs – have won the award that often.
AL MVP Odds 2026 on DraftKings Sportsbook
Raleigh was Judge’s most fierce competition in 2025, but he has the third-best odds for 2026 at +750. Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., who was runner-up to Judge in 2024, is actually in second for 2026 at +500. Witt finished fourth in voting in 2025. José Ramírez came in third, but the Guardians third baseman enters 2026 in seventh with +1300 odds. Julio Rodríguez and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. rank fifth and sixth at +1000 and +1200, respectively.
Nick Kurtz, coming off an explosive rookie year with the Athletics, carries the fourth-shortest odds at +900. AL Rookie of the Year runner-up Roman Anthony, meanwhile, is tied for the 15th-best odds at +2800. Back-to-back AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal finished seventh and fifth in AL MVP voting the past two years, but he is in a three-way tie for 21st with +5000 odds for 2026. Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet is the next-highest pitcher on the list at +6000.
NL MVP Odds 2026 on DraftKings Sportsbook
Ohtani is an even heavier favorite than Judge with -110 odds to win MVP over four months before Opening Day. Considering his 50-home run power, 50-stolen base speed and sub-3.00 ERA potential on the mound, that checks out.
Running in second behind Ohtani is Mets outfielder Juan Soto at +800. The 27-year-old finished third in NL MVP voting in the first season of his 15-year megadeal, one year after finishing third in AL MVP voting with the Yankees. 2025’s NL MVP runner-up, Kyle Schwarber, does not have odds since he is currently a free agent and could wind up ditching the Phillies for an AL club. The same goes for Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker.
Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. – the 2023 NL MVP – and Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. are tied for third at +1200. Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor and Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll are next up in a tie for fifth, followed by Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz at +1700. On the mound, Pirates ace Paul Skenes is tied for the 16th-best NL MVP odds for 2026 fresh off winning NL Rookie of the Year in 2024 and NL Cy Young in 2025. If anyone can take that next step and become the first pitcher to win the award since Dodgers southpaw Clayton Kershaw in 2014, it could be Skenes.
