However, once you use a team, you cannot use it again. You are eliminated from the pool if one of your picks loses. The players who survive the regular season without losing will split the grand prize of at least $25,000.
Week 11 Survivor Best Pick
Packers over Giants
The Packers are coming off back-to-back losses to the Panthers and Eagles. Once one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl, this team is in a rut at the moment. That being said, the Packers had a similar stumble earlier this season when they lost to the Browns and tied the Cowboys in back-to-back weeks. They got things back on track after that rough two weeks and rattled off three straight wins before this most recent losing streak. This game against the Giants is the perfect chance for them to get back on track.
The Giants just fired Brian Daboll, and there is a good chance that Jaxson Dart will miss this game. Dart left last week’s game with a concussion, and in the modern NFL, it’s highly unlikely for a player to return just one week after a concussion, especially at quarterback. If Russell Wilson is set to start, Micah Parsons and the Packers’ pass rush should dominate. Also, the Packers’ offense still ranks fourth in the NFL in EPA/dropback. Jordan Love should have much more success against the Giants, who rank 22nd in defensive EPA/dropback. This is a must-win spot for the Packers and this should be a maximum effort spot against a beaten-down, injured Giants team.
Week 11 Survivor Bold Pick
Bills over Buccaneers
Just like the Packers, the Bills are a Super Bowl hopeful coming off a tough loss. It seemed like Buffalo had fixed some of its issues during the bye week, dominating the Panthers and getting a huge win over the Chiefs in the two games following the bye. However, they were inexplicably dominated by the Dolphins last week. That loss could have scared away some people from picking the Bills this week, but this is a much better spot. The second time facing a divisional opponent, especially on the road, is always a ripe upset spot. Buffalo was unlucky with some turnovers and let the game get away late.
Against Tampa Bay, the Bills should come out victorious. The Buccaneers are still very banged up at the skill positions, and they should struggle to take advantage of Buffalo’s defensive frailties. Tampa Bay ranks 22nd in defensive dropback success rate. The Bills should do what they do best offensively, which is chip away at opposing defenses. Buffalo ranks eighth in offensive dropback success rate. Josh Allen is at his best when he is keeping plays alive with his legs and picking up chunks through the air or on the ground to stay ahead of the sticks. The Bills should get back on track with a win if you’re looking for an unpopular survivor pick this week.
Week 11 Survivor Favorite to Avoid
Steelers over Bengals
One favorite to avoid this week is the Steelers. Just like the Bills against the Dolphins, this is the second meeting of the season between divisional opponents. However, the Bengals already beat the Steelers once as underdogs. Joe Flacco picked this defense apart as Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins ran riot. The Bengals are coming off a bye week and should be totally fresh for this rematch. The Steelers are in a bad way, with Aaron Rodgers really struggling at quarterback. Pittsburgh has lost three of its past four, and ranks 23rd in the NFL in offensive EPA/play over that stretch. Meanwhile, the Bengals are capable of an offensive explosion any given week with their offensive weapons. There are too many red flags in this matchup to trust the Steelers to win against their divisional opponents.
