Donovan Mitchell Injury Update: Wednesday 10/29/25 vs. Celtics

UPDATE: Mitchell (hamstring) will play tonight.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell has had a blistering start to the 2025-26 season, averaging 31.3 points, four assists, two rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 33.5 mpg over four games. His usage rate is 33.2% and he’s shooting 56% from the field. But now, he’s in danger of missing Wednesday’s game against the Boston Celtics — popping on Cleveland’s injury report with a hamstring injury.

There’s been no mention of when the injury occurred or its severity.

Mitchell played a season-low 29 minutes on Monday, but that was due to a blowout against the Detroit Pistons. If he’s unable to go on Wednesday, the Cavaliers will be very thin in the backcourt, as Darius Garland and Sam Merrill are also sidelined. Craig Porter Jr., Tyrese Proctor, and Jaylon Tyson would likely soak up most of the backcourt minutes if Mitchell is out.

As it stands, Cleveland is listed as a -130 road favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Boston is priced at +110 on the moneyline.
