The Kansas City Royals and the Chicago White Sox are playing a doubleheader after getting rained out on Tuesday, providing the extra matchup. The Yankees have lost three straight games but may be able to get back on track on Wednesday against Toronto starter Kevin Gausman. He was among preseason favorites for the AL Cy Young Award this year but heads into this start with an 0-2 record and an 11.57 ERA. Volpe wore the golden sombrero on Tuesday, striking out four times, lowering his batting average to .349. Soto and Stanton picked up two of the team’s six hits in Tuesday’s loss and Judge is always one swing away from being a worthy lineup add.
This matchup is a pick ‘em on the moneyline, with both teams installed at -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The run total is set at 8.5.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Washington Nationals

Betts went a perfect 5-5 at the plate on Tuesday with two doubles, two RBI and two runs. Ohtani added two hits off his own batting second in the lineup. Freeman went hitless, and Smith should be back in the lineup on Wednesday after getting the day off. The quartet will face off against Nationals starter Jake Irvin, who enters with a 0-1 record and a 4.24 ERA.
The Dodgers are the -250 moneyline favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook. The Nationals are the +205 underdogs, and the run total is set at 9.5.
Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Chicago added outfielder Seiya Suzuki to the injured list and had to switch around its lineup on Tuesday. It nearly paid off as they scored 11 runs, but the Cubs ended up losing in the 10th inning. Hoerner was great out of the leadoff spot, finishing 4-5 with an RBI and a run. Swanson, Bellinger and Morel each picked up a hit, with Bellinger and Morel adding an RBI each. Arizona starter Brandon Pfaadt has a 1-0 record but a 6.48 ERA going into Wednesday’s start against Chicago.
