It has been rumored that Seth Rollins was going to miss some time due to an injury he sustained at WWE Crown Jewel against Cody Rhodes. During the match, Rollins performed a front facing Coast to Coast and immediately favored his shoulder upon impact. Tonight on WWE Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce announced that he is stripping Rollins of the WWE Heavyweight Championship and a new champion would be crowned at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

CM Punk will fight the winner of a Battle Royal on Raw to determine a new WWE Heavyweight Champion
Along with the announcement, Pearce also said that CM Punk, who is currently the number one contender, would battle the winner of a Battle Royal tonight to determine the new champion. Punk became the number one contender after defeating both Jey Uso and LA Knight on Raw last week. Whomever becomes victorious from the Battle Royal later tonight will oppose Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
When is WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event?
The next Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on Saturday, November 1st from Salt Lake City, Utah. The event will begin at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT. Tickets are currently available through SeatGeek.
