The MLB is back in action on Monday, May 6. Ten games are scheduled, weather permitting, giving bettors plenty of chances to wager on their favorite baseball matchups and lines. We know that some bettors enjoy rolling the dice and trying to predict which players will hit a home run on any given day. Bryan Reynolds vs. Los Angeles Angels (+475)
Reynolds has hit four home runs this season, the last coming on Saturday, April 27. He and the Pittsburgh Pirates will face Angels starter Tyler Anderson. The southpaw has limited matchups against Reynolds as the Pittsburgh outfielder is 2-3 against him in his career with a home run. Anderson has given up five home runs so far this season, and Reynolds has a good chance of making it six on Monday.
Jose Ramirez vs. Detroit Tigers (+500)
Ramirez will take on Detroit starter Jack Flaherty on Monday. Flaherty struck out 14 in his last start, but it was a revenge game against the St. Louis Cardinals, who are struggling this year. Ramirez hit a home run in Sunday’s win over the Angels, his sixth of the season. He heads into Monday’s game 3-8 in his career against Flaherty, including a home run. Four of Ramirez’s home runs have come against right-handers, giving even more upside that he sends a ball over the fence on Monday.
Jeff McNeil vs. St. Louis Cardinals (+800)
McNeil has had a down year, batting .231 with one home run and seven RBI. He has a good chance to turn it around on Monday as he takes on St. Louis starter Kyle Gibson (2-2, 3.79 ERA). McNeil has seen a lot of Gibson in his career and is 7-19 against him with two home runs so far. He’s a longshot to hit a home run on Monday, but at least has a favorable matchup that he has done well in in the past.
