Prediction, pick for Corey Anderson vs. Dovlet Yagshimuradov

The co-main event of today’s PFL card features a Light Heavyweight title fight between Corey Anderson and Dovlet Yagshimuradov. This is the second championship bout on this card as Usman Nurmagomedov faces Paul Hughes for the Lightweight title in the Main Event. Anderson beat Yagshimuradov at Bellator 268 via TKO in April 2021. Since their first fight, Anderson has gone 4-1 while Yagshimuradov is 7-1 in that span.

Here is my best bet for Corey Anderson vs. Dovlet Yagshimuradov.

Anderson vs. Yagshimuradov Under 3.5 Rounds (-160)

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Anderson is a -198 favorite while Yagshimuradov is a +164 underdog. This fight has an over/under of 3.5 rounds, with the under being -160.

Anderson has gone 6-1 with one no contest in Bellator and PFL since leaving the UFC in 2020. In that span, six of Anderson’s fights have ended in the first three rounds, with his most recent victory over Denis Goltsov coming via a second-round TKO in July. His opponent, Yagshimuradov, hasn’t gone past the third round since 2019. Yagshimuradov is 25-7-1 in his career with 18 finishes, while Anderson has nine wins by KO/TKO.

On paper, Anderson has the advantages, as he is four inches taller (6’3″ vs. 5’11”) and possesses a 5.5-inch edge in reach (77.5″ vs. 72″). With two fighters coming off early finishes, it would be surprising if both didn’t attempt to do the same with the PFL World Championship on the line.
