Reds vs. Cubs game delayed due to rain Sunday 9/21/25

UPDATE: 2:11 PM ET: The Reds vs. Cubs game is set to begin play with its first pitch at 2:50pm ET.

Andrew Abbott and Jameson Taillon will face off on the bump for both these teams, and the Cubs will look to find their offensive form with deliberate consistency as they go forward into the last week of the regular season.

Sunday’s game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs will begin in a rain delay. While previously scheduled for a 1:20 p.m. EST first pitch, inclement weather in the area around Cincinnati will prevent the contest from starting on time.

No updated start time has been announced yet.
