We’ve got a good one tonight. The Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx face off for the second straight game after Angel Reese and her squad pulled off an 87–81 upset over the top-ranked team in the WNBA on Saturday. Before that win, Chicago was 0–9 against teams above .500 — but they delivered a complete team effort. Ariel Atkins led the way with 27 points, while both Reese and Kamilla Cardoso posted impressive double-doubles.
Let’s check out what the Sky’s rebound queen has been up to lately — and then I’ll give you my best bets for tonight’s matchup.
Angel Reese Double-Double Special
The LSU alum has been on an absolute tear, racking up her eighth straight double-double and her 14th of the season. We’re only about halfway through the schedule, but Reese is already chasing WNBA history. The all-time single-season double-double record is 28, set by Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun. Reese has 24 games left to catch her.

Like I mentioned earlier, she’s already halfway there with eight consecutive! While the Sky are heading into a tougher rebounding stretch — with matchups against the Fever and Dream, who rank first and second in opponent rebounds allowed — Reese’s board game has been out of this world. She’s held her own against the league’s top defenses, facing the Minnesota Lynx (twice) and the Golden State Valkyries, and still dominating the glass while ramping up her shot volume. Over her last eight games, she’s averaging 15.5 rebounds and 17.6 points per game. Reese has proven she can block out the media noise — and she’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Shocker! The league leader in rebounds per game isn’t just averaging 12.8 boards a night — she’s hauled in 15 or more in six of her last eight games. And while the Lynx lead the league in defensive rating at 95.3, they haven’t been as dominant on the glass. Minnesota allows 34.7 rebounds per game (8th in the league) and has surrendered a combined 28 boards to Reese in their last two matchups. Over the past 10 games, the Sky are pulling down 37.1 rebounds per game compared to the Lynx’s 33.4. Yeah… I like the over.
Under 14.5 Points (-120)
I can’t glaze over every player stat, okay? Yes, Reese has stacked eight straight double-doubles, but she’s up against a Minnesota team that’s dropped two of its last three — and they’ll be locked in for a bounce-back. The Lynx lead the league in opponent points allowed per game (75.2) and rank second in opponent field goal percentage at 41.2%. Reese is shooting 43.4% from the field, but I’m expecting a more aggressive defensive look tonight with fewer clean looks for the forward. I’m still backing her to hit the boards and log another double-double — but over 14.5 points? That feels a little high in a quick rematch against the best defense in the league.
