After Thursday’s first round of the Rocket Classic, the field is looking up at two golfers, Kevin Roy ($7,000; 69.5 FPTS) and Aldrich Potgieter ($7,000; 72.5 FPTS), after they both went -10 (62).
Roy began his day with a birdie on the first hole. He then racked up three more on the front nine. The back nine began with a birdie on the first hole as well. He notched two more birdies before closing out the round with an eagle and a birdie on the final two holes.
Potgieter also birdied the first two holes on the front and back nine. He racked up two more birdies on the back nine but did most of his work on the front nine with four birdies and an eagle, which included a three-hole streak on Holes 16, 17 and 18 that went birdie, eagle, birdie.
In the $800K Summer Sand Trap tournament, Roy is rostered on 2.17% of teams while Potgieter is on 3.93%.
DraftKings Sportsbook has Roy at +1100 to win it all, the third-lowest odds, while Potgieter is at +900, the second-lowest.
The current favorite is Max Greyserman ($9,100; 54 FPTS) at +700.
Greyserman finished Thursday -9 (63) and is T3, one stroke off the lead. On the front nine, he racked up five birdies, that included a three-birdie streak on Holes 7, 8 and 9, and a bogey. The back nine was clean with five birdies, including a four-birdie streak on Holes 14, 15, 16 and 17.
Greyserman is rostered on 15.09% of teams.
The most rostered golfer is Ben Griffin ($9,800; 35.5 FPTS) at 32.2%. He shot a -6 (66) on Thursday and is currently T15. The day began spectacularly with an eagle on the first hole. He then had three more birdies on the front nine and a lone birdie on the back nine.
There are three other golfers rostered on at least 20% of teams: Patrick Cantlay ($10,200; 33 FPTS), Cameron Young ($9,300; 21.5 FPTS) and Collin Morikawa ($10,900; 23.5 FPTS).
Cantlay is rostered on 26.51% of teams. Cantlay shot a -6 (66) on Thursday. He racked up three birdies on both the front and back nines.
Young is rostered on 25.64% of teams. Young shot a -4 (68). He had two birdies on the front nine and a bogey with three birdies on the back nine. He’s currently T41.
Morikawa is rostered on 21.03% of teams. Morikawa shot a -3 (69). He had a birdie and an eagle on the front nine. The back nine was rough with three bogeys and three birdies. He’s T64 heading into Friday.
Data Golf has a -6 cutline at 42.8%.

Jake Knapp ($7,300; 10.5 FPTS) is rostered on 11.01% of teams. He shot an E (72) with a birdie on the front nine and bogey on the back nine. He is currently T129 and has a 17.9% chance of making the cut, according to Data Golf.
Alex Smalley ($8,000; 15 FPTS) is rostered on 11.75% of teams. He also shot an E (72). Unlike Knapp, Smalley’s round was more eventful with two birdies and two bogeys on both the front and back nines. He has a 13% chance of making the cut, according to Data Golf.
Chris Gotterup ($8,000; 12 FPTS) is rostered on 11.43% of teams. He shot an E (72) with a birdie and a bogey on both the front and back nines. Gotterup has a 21.1% chance of making the cut, according to Data Golf.
