King of the Diamond is back again for Friday’s slate! Learn how the contest works, how to get in on it, and track leaders right up until we crown our winner(s). Here are some of most-bet players to hit a home run tonight:
How to Play King of the Diamond on DraftKings Sportsbook
King of the Diamond requires bettors to use a token on a pre-game parlay that must include a player to hit a home run. Same Game Parlays (SGP), SGPx and parlays are the eligible bet types. Whichever parlay form a bettor chooses must have 2-5 legs.
Any game that starts before 6 p.m. ET on the slated day will not be eligible for the King of the Diamond promotion. There is not an odds minimum. Unless using a boosted token, the bet minimum is $5.
The King (or kings) of the Diamond is decided based on the highest scoring team of the slated night. For example, suppose the Los Angeles Dodgers are the highest scoring team, and Shohei Ohtani hits a home run. In that case, all bettors who entered Ohtani to hit a home run in their eligible parlay and opted in to the contest will share in a $1 million prize pool.
The player only needs to hit one home run to qualify for a share of the prize pool. For example, if another Dodger hit two home runs and the Dodgers are the high scorers of the night, Ohtani still qualifies as the King of the Diamond. If two or more teams tie for the highest scoring team, all batters on those teams who hit home runs would qualify. For more on tiebreaker scenarios and eligible bets, refer to this article.

The Marlins got it up to 11 runs in their game vs. Washington, but it was the Braves who hung on to finish as the highest scoring team on the night with 12.
Michael Harris II and Marcell Ozuna both went yard for Atlanta, making them your Kings of the Diamond for Friday’s slate!

If you have a home run ticket on Michael Harris II or Marcell Ozuna, you probably feel good about things.
The Marlins have added two more runs and are up 8-6 in the bottom of the seventh. They’ll need a productive 2+ innings to catch their division rivals on the top of our leaderboard. Elsewhere, the Diamondbacks are getting busy with the longball.
And in a duel of aces in Los Angeles, Casey Schmitt drilled a grand slam to put the Giants up 5-1.
But it’s looking like a party for our Braves bettors tonight. Stay tuned to see if anyone can change the scoreboard late.

More final scores, and games resuming.
The Houston Astros put up a run in the bottom of the eighth but couldn’t quite catch the Braves, ending with 10 runs. The Rangers wrapped up a 3-1 victory that did nothing for our board. Kansas City rallied late but lost 6-4 to the Athletics. Meanwhile, the Marlins are back in action, as are the Orioles. Miami leads 7-2 in the top of the fifth, while the Orioles lead 2-0 in the sixth.
Looking at the late games, the Giants and Dodgers are knotted 1-1 after two innings. The Diamondbacks lead the Padres 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth. And the Guardians-Mariners contest is scoreless in the second. It looks like our action will wrap up tonight, so stay tuned as we close things out.
Update: 10:25 p.m. ET
It’s time for a roundup on final scores. The Braves wrapped up their 12-4 win over the Colorado Rockies, cementing their spot on top of the leaderboard. The Detroit Tigers won 11-5 at home over the Reds and are out of the running. And the Tampa Bay Rays took home a 7-5 victory on the road over the Mets. That takes six teams off our board.
Looking at the other games, the Astros need a big bottom of the eighth to get back in the running. The White Sox-A’s, Cardinals-Brewers, and Athletics-Royals games haven’t had the kind of runs you want to see. In all likelihood, it’ll be up to one of the late games to beat out Atlanta.
Keep in mind that two games are delayed by rain. The Orioles-Angels game was delayed in the fifth with Baltimore up 2-0. More importantly, the Marlins-Nationals game was delayed in the fourth with Miami up 6-2. They’ll be a serious threat to the Braves. If the game is resumed tomorrow or at a later date, it will still be eligible for tonight’s promo.

Move aside, Houston Astros! There’s another new leader on the board. The Atlanta Braves have scored 11 runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings against the Colorado Rockies. They’re up 12-4 at home, putting Michael Harris II and Marcell Ozuna at the top of the leaderboard. It’s certainly unexpected given the state of this offense.
The Detroit Tigers put up a valiant three runs in the bottom of the eighth, but it wasn’t enough to catch Atlanta. 12 runs is one heck of a mark to beat. Let’s see who can catch them.

We have new leaders on the board! They don’t ask how far, they just ask how. Jose Altuve’s 342-foot homer sends the Astros to the top of the board, breaking a tie with the Phillies.
Sorry to all the Kyle Schwarber bettors, your night is over.
Elsewhere, the Braves are putting on a late show to take the lead. They got a pair of three-run homers from Michael Harris II and Marcell Ozuna to go up 7-4, but time is running out; that game is in the top of the eighth. The Tigers are pushing as well, up 8-2 on the Cincinnati Reds courtesy of another home run by Gleyber Torres. That one is in the bottom of the seventh.
Can the Astros run away with this one? Or will another team make a push to unseat Jose Altuve?
Update: 9:05 p.m. ET
We have a new leader!! In what is likely to be their last inning with the bats, the Phillies got their sixth, seventh, and eighth runs off the Toronto Blue Jays. This puts Kyle Schwarber on top of our KOTD leaderboard due to his second-inning homer.
Meanwhile, the Houston Astros are absolutely rolling. They’ve scored multiple runs in each of the first three innings against the Minnesota Twins. Despite not hitting a home run, Houston leads 8-0 and is tied for the leading scorer on the board. Rookie Jacob Melton has provided three of the eight RBIs.
They’re not the only team getting hot with the bats. The Tampa Bay Rays put up six runs in the sixth to take the lead at Citi Field, capped by a two-run shot off the bat of Danny Jansen. He and Jonathan Aranda would be KOTD-eligible if they end up as the high scorers.
We’ve got an awfully high-scoring night on our hands. Don’t change the channel!

It’s a bad night to be a baseball. They’re getting crushed into the night one after another. Ryan O’Hearn is one of the latest to punish a baseball:
We also have some serious runs being put on the board. The Mets rallied for three runs in the bottom of the fifth, going up 5-1 on the Rays. And the Astros scored five runs in the first two innings to go up 5-0 against the Twins. Neither team has hit a home run, but there’s plenty of game left. The Phillies are stuck at five runs as that game winds down. Stay tuned while we inch closer to our first set of final scores.

Pump the brakes on the Marlins. Their game with the Nationals is now delayed by rain. As a reminder, that game would still count towards today’s contest whenever it is resumed. It does make tonight’s contest more confusing, however.
The Phillies have closed the gap on Miami, going up 5-0 on the Toronto Blue Jays. The Colorado Rockies are up to four runs in the fourth inning and putting up a good show in Atlanta. Most importantly, the Detroit Tigers are teeing off on Reds starter Nick Martinez. They have three solo home runs from Gleyber Torres, Riley Greene, and Javier Báez.
We’ll keep an eye on the scoreboard and update when the Marlins resume action.

The Marlins are holding strong at the top of the leaderboard. But the home runs keep flowing in. James Wood cut into Miami’s lead with this absolute rocket:

The Marlins now have a sole lead on tonight’s board. A two-run double by Dane Myers gave them a 6-0 lead over the Washington Nationals heading into the bottom of the third inning.
It’s a big early lead for the Fish, putting Agustín Ramírez alone as the King of the Diamond. Let’s see who can catch Miami.
Update: 7:32 p.m. ET
The home runs are rolling in now. After Brandon Marsh got things rolling for the Philadelphia Phillies, Kyle Schwarber put a stamp on things with this three-run shot:
That Schwarbomb gave Philly a 4-0 lead and sent them to the top of the leaderboard. But Agustín Ramírez isn’t done just yet. The Marlins catcher rocked his second home run of the night in the third inning:
Shortly after, the Marlins scored in a double to tie Philly at four runs. Then, Gleyber Torres announced things for the Detroit Tigers with a monster leadoff home run. That gives us four home run hitters already. Philadelphia and Miami are tied at the top of the leaderboard, which would make Schwarber and Ramírez our leaders for tonight.

Miami’s lead didn’t last for long. Colorado Rockies infielder Ryan McMahon took matters into his own hands with a massive home run to center field:
His 441-foot homer tied the Rockies at the top of the early leaderboard. Elsewhere, the Phillies are on the board courtesy of a Brandon Marsh RBI double. Keep a close eye on this one as the runs start to come in!
Update: 7:18 p.m. ET
The Marlins are rolling early! After Agustín Ramírez gave them the lead in the first inning, they loaded the bases up in the second. That led to catcher Nick Fortes roping a ball into the outfield for a sacrifice fly.
The Marlins are the only team on the board out of the six games currently underway. Stay tuned as the runs start to come in.

That didn’t take long! Just two batters into the Marlins-Nationals contest, we have our first home run. Rookie catcher Agustín Ramírez popped his ninth home run of the season to kick off tonight’s scoring.
