It’s All-Star time on the race tracks, which means racers get a break off from Cup Series competition to participate in the annual All-Star Race and All-Star Open.
There will be two races on Sunday, May 18, with the All-Star Race being the official event. That is preceded by the All-Star Open, which is for drivers who didn’t make the All-Star cut.
Brad Keselowski will lead the All-Star Race pack as he earned the pole position during this week’s qualifying race. Shane van Gisbergen won the pole for the All-Star Open.
The top two finishers in the All-Star Open as well as the top fan voted driver will advance to the All-Star Race later Sunday night. Carson Hocevar is the Open favorite at +185 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Ryan Preece is second at +320.
Meanwhile, Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell are the favorites to win the All-Star Race. They both hold +600 odds. Justin Allgaier drove Larson’s car and earned the 15th spot in qualifying. Larson will drive on Sunday.
The All-Star Open will take place on Sunday, May 18 at 5:30 p.m. ET at the North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. The All-Star Race will take place after at 8 p.m. ET.
