Top NASCAR Pick6 Picks for the YellaWood 500 at Talladega

Chase Elliott | Finishing Position: 13.5

Pick6 Play: Better

NASCAR’s most popular driver finished fourth in the Daytona 500 and fourth at Talladega in April. Elliott has five top-10 finishes in nine Talladega starts since 2022. He won here in October 2022 after starting 16th.

Starting spot has not held him back at Talladega. He started 28th and finished seventh in April 2022. He started 23rd and finished seventh in October 2023. He started 30th and finished fifth in April 2025.

Atlanta has also been good to him, with wins in July 2022 and June 2025. His results outside the top 10 at Talladega were 12th, 15th, 29th and 40th. His most recent superspeedway start was a 23rd at Daytona in August, after he led 19 laps.

Long story short: Will Elliott wreck or not. That’s the question for every driver available on DraftKings Pick 6. If Elliott avoids the Big One, it’s an easy win.

Ryan Blaney | Finishing Position: 9.5

Pick6 Play: Worse

This is not a pick to win or a pick against winning. It’s just simple math. Blaney may have one of the best win rates and top-five finish rates, but he also wrecks a lot. The Team Penske No. 12 Ford has ended up on the wrecker often at the superspeedways. He finished 20th or worse in each of his last five Talladega races. The finishes were 20th, 39th, 37th, 23rd and 37th. The 39th, the 37th in April 2025 and the 37th in April of this year all ended in accidents.

Trouble has followed him at Daytona and Talladega all year. He was 27th in the Daytona 500, 37th at Talladega in April and 33rd at Daytona in August. All three ended in accidents.

Blaney won here in October 2023 after starting 10th, and he finished second in October 2022 and April 2023. He won at Atlanta in July after leading 171 laps. He also won at Daytona in August 2025 from the pole. The speed is there, but the last two years of results here have not matched it.

What is DraftKings Pick6?

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.

How to Play DraftKings Pick6!

Create a Pick Set

Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice, and you must pick players from at least two different teams.

Enter an Amount

Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.

Sweat Your Picks

When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.

Compete for Prizes

Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
