Guard

Stud

Derrick White, Boston Celtics at New York Knicks ($6,700): White put up 31.75 FPTS in Game 3, which was fine for the price, but I expected something in the 40 to 50 FPTS range. White only played 34 minutes in that one due to the blowout, yet still contributed across the board. In the first two games of the series, he played 40 and 44 minutes. I expect this game to be closer and, if so, White should see over 40 minutes of action, making 40 to 50 FPTS viable.

Other Options: Anthony Edwards ($9,500), Jalen Brunson ($8,200), Jaylen Brown ($7,200)

Value

Buddy Hield, Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves ($4,700): With Stephen Curry still out, Hield will likely play around 30 minutes and put up double-digit shots, something he’s done in every game this series. While he doesn’t contribute many defensive stats, he has racked up two steals and two blocks so far. In addition, he’s also chipped in some rebounds and assists, totaling 15 rebounds and nine assists through three games. Hield has put up at least 23 FPTS in all three games with a high of 43 FPTS. If he gets hot, a 50-burger is within the range of outcomes.

Other Options: Mikal Bridges ($6,000), Payton Pritchard ($4,500)

Forward

Stud

Julius Randle, Minnesota Timberwolves at Golden State Warriors ($7,700): After shooting 4-of-11 and finishing with 29.25 FPTS in the series opener, Randle has been a beast the last two games. In Game 2, he shot 10-of-17 from the field, missed a triple-double by three rebounds and finished with 50.25 FPTS. Last game, he got the triple-double and put up 63.5 FPTS. I had some concerns that Draymond Green would give Randle some issues, but he’s neutered that concern. The price is too nice for the expected usage and upside.

Other Options: Jayson Tatum ($9,700), Jimmy Butler ($8,500), Jaylen Brown ($7,200), Josh Hart ($6,500)

Value

Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves ($5,200): I faded Kuminga last game due to some uncertainty regarding playing time. He received 26 minutes in Game 2, but that was a blowout. He received 36 minutes in Game 3 and finished with 46.5 FPTS. I’m not a smart man. With Curry out, Kuminga will likely continue seeing significant playing time because he provides athleticism and offensive juice that no one else on the roster can replicate.

Other Options: Mikal Bridges ($6,000), Jaden McDaniels ($5,700), Draymond Green ($5,500), Al Horford ($5,000), Buddy Hield ($4,700), Naz Reid ($4,600)

Center

Stud

Karl-Anthony Towns, New York Knicks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves ($7,400): Towns has put up 41.25 and 45.25 FPTS in the last two games while scoring 21 points in each contest. He’s pulling down boards, but hasn’t been contributing much in the defensive categories. In addition, Mitchell Robinson has siphoned some minutes from him. That said, he’s not priced egregiously and has played 36 and 35 minutes over the last two games. He will most likely double-double. If he can contribute a smidge more in the periphery categories, a 50-burger could be cooking on the grill.

Other Options: Julius Randle ($7,700)

Value

Naz Reid, Minnesota Timberwolves at Golden State Warriors ($4,600): Reid finished with 16.25 FPTS in 24 minutes last game. That is the floor. In the prior two games, he played 30 and 34 minutes, putting up 25.75 and 30.25 FPTS. The range of outcomes is wide because he’s so scoring dependent and the playing time fluctuates, but he’s a significant part of the rotation and can access a ceiling if he gets scorching hot.

Other Options: Draymond Green ($5,500), Al Horford ($5,000), Kristaps Porzingis ($4,800)
