Game 7 between the Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers will take place Sunday afternoon. The Cavs hold homecourt advantage but nearly did lose Game 5 of this series in Cleveland, needing a late defensive stop to secure the victory. The Magic nearly squandered Game 6 at home but made a late comeback to force this decisive contest. The Cavaliers have not made the second round of the playoffs since 2018, while the Magic haven’t advanced past the first round since 2010.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite player prop bets to target for Game 7, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Darius Garland over 18.5 points (-102)
It’s tempting to look at Donovan Mitchell to explode offensively, and the star shooting guard should have a solid outing. However, he’s going to need help from the supporting cast. Garland appears to have woken up in this series after being average in the first four contests, hitting 21+ points in the last two games. He had 23 last time out at home and the Cavaliers will be looking for someone other than Mitchell to contribute. I think Garland is that guy Sunday afternoon.
Paolo Banchero over 7.5 rebounds (-118)
Banchero has become a consistent force on the glass as this series goes on. Jarrett Allen’s status will impact this line, as Banchero has managed eight boards in each of the last two games where the Cavaliers center hasn’t suited up. However, the Magic forward did tally 14 rebounds in Game 3 when Allen did play. I think Orlando understands the importance of creating additional opportunities on the road and controlling the glass, so I expect Banchero to be heavily involved there. He should top this mark.
Donovan Mitchell over 4.5 assists (-135)
The shooting guard isn’t exactly distributing the ball at a high clip, only topping this line twice in six games. However, he did somehow log four assists in his 50-point effort, a sign he’s trying to get his teammates involved. I think he’ll press that issue more earlier in Game 7, especially with Garland and Evan Mobley. Mitchell should continue to take shots in key moments but I’ll back him to make the right reads when teammates are open. The Cavs should knock down enough shots to help Mitchell go over this line.
Franz Wagner over 1.5 3-pointers (+124)
Wagner shot just 28.1% from deep over the regular season, and he hasn’t gotten much better in the playoffs with a 31% clip across six games. However, the Magic forward continues to attempt three-point shots at a decent clip and he did go over this mark in both Games 1 and 2 in Cleveland. He’s gone over this line three times in the series and after a couple off outings, I think he manages to can a couple from the perimeter in Game 7 Sunday.
