When does the Air Jordan 11 Low Bred drop?

The Air Jordan 11 is one of the most legendary sneakers of all time, worn by Michael Jordan during his great revenge season in 1995-96 when the Bulls won 72 games en route to title No. 4.

Obviously, we all know about the classic OG colorways. But did you know we’re getting a subtle OG colorway tomorrow? That’s right, the Air Jordan 11 Low Bred drops on Saturday for a retail price of $190.

The Air Jordan 11 Bred is an undisputed classic, but people often overlook the fact that MJ would swap out the mids for lows at halftime of his games. In fact, MJ wore a PE of the low which is releasing on Saturday during the 1996 NBA Finals against Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton and the Seattle Supersonics (who were wearing some of the best NBA unis of all time).

As I’ve noted many times, the legendary Tinker Hatfield considers the Air Jordan 11 his greatest work and it is said that this model is His Airness’ favorite model as well. MJ had been pressing Tinker for years to include patent leather on his signature sneaker and even predicted that people would wear patent leather Air Jordans with suits. Of course, Boys II Men and countless prom goers over the years have proven MJ right once again, showcasing the combination of form and function that makes the 11s legendary.

The Air Jordan 11 Low Bred has almost all the same elements you know and love from the Mids, just with the top cut off. You have the black ballistic nylon mesh upper, paired with black patent leather, a white midsole, a carbon fiber plate and a cherry red translucent outsole. With the lower cut, you get a smaller number 23 and a tiny Jumpman on the back heel. The 2025 edition is more true than ever, as it features a black interior as opposed to the true red interior of the 2015 edition. It’s more significantly different than the other version of the 11 low that MJ wore on court, the 11 Low IE, which removes the patent leather and ballistic mesh upper to give a completely different vibe. The 11 Low Bred we’re getting on Saturday didn’t release at the time MJ wore them on court, but the 11 Low IE did, which has made some forget that MJ wore the full patent leather low on court.

The 2025 edition of the Air Jordan 11 Low Bred is currently on StockX and has an average price of $209 on 113 sales. Just slightly above retail feels about right given the seemingly lack of excitement about this drop and the fact that the Legend Blue 11s just sat back in December. It’s no accident that these are not this year’s holiday release and Jordan Brand’s release of other 11 Lows that weren’t worn on court by the GOAT may have diminished this model’s standing in the eyes of some sneakerheads. But make no mistake about it — this is still a beautiful sneaker and at the end of the day, hype and resale value shouldn’t matter to you so long as you like the sneaker and want to rock it. These might sell out on SNKRS, but I imagine they could sit on some shelves at other retailers. Which isn’t a bad thing, as it allows the people who want a pair to get a pair for retail price. Best of luck to all those looking to pick ’em up!
