The pieces are in place for Daredevil: Born Again to run wild as we approach the final three episodes of the show’s first season.
We’ll get to the lay of the land in a bit. First, let’s prep for episode 7 of Daredevil: Born Again.
Disney+ is dropping episodes of Daredevil: Born Again at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesdays. After dropping the first two episodes together, the third and fourth received solo releases. Then episodes five and six were released as a pair. Episode seven of Daredevil: Born Again will have a solo drop on Tuesday, April 1 at 9 p.m. ET.
Timing notes
Episode 5 clocked in at 41:29, making it the shortest episode of Daredevil: Born Again to date. The ensuing episode was only a couple minutes longer, so there still hasn’t been a massive deviation from the projected 45-55 minute range for each episode week-to-week. Although, outside of the series-opener, there has only been one episode that went longer than 50 minutes.
With episode 5 effectively seeming like a bottle episode, there’s a good chance that’ll end up being the shortest of Season 1.
Cast notes
(Warning: Spoilers for episodes 5 and 6 of Daredevil: Born Again ahead.)
- Daredevil is back! But, it seems like Kingpin is, too. There was simply too much pushing them both. For Murdock, his massive sense of responsibility was being suppressed. With WIlson Fisk, his need for control was raging. The end of episode 6 showed us the byproduct of both going ignored for too long.
- Muse is horrifying. In terms of appearance, this character’s look has to be one of the scariest that the MCU has ever produced. Also, the fact that Muse is going after Fisk but also attacking innocent people makes the character even more compelling.
- Cole North has entered the mix. He’s a good, hard-nosed cop who first appeared in the Devil’s Reign run in the Daredevil comics from Marvel. While it might seem like North is questionable since he’s been bunched with the worst that the NYPD has to offer, don’t be surprised if it turns out he starts butting heads with them. North is abrasive, but he is not like these other people.
