Another loaded NBA slate is set for Saturday, with eight games between 16 teams on tap for hoops fans. That includes a handful of superstars in action, such as Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum and Bam Adebayo. With so many big names playing, narrowing down who to start in season-long fantasy and DFS formats isn’t easy. Here are the three guards at the top of tonight’s fantasy basketball rankings:

1. Luka Doncic, Los Angeles Lakers at BOS ($11,500)
All eyes will be on the Lakers when they visit their ancient rivals, the Celtics. If anyone is going to deliver an upset win for the road team, it’s Luka Doncic. The guard, acquired a month ago from the Mavericks, took some time to get back to form. However, he’s been nothing short of phenomenal over the past two weeks. Since February 27th, the five-time All-Star has averaged 28.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game.
Boston’s defense presents a unique challenge for an elite Lakers offense. Still, Doncic performed well against this group during last summer’s NBA Finals (29.2 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 5.6 APG). The 26-year-old might cost a pretty penny, but he’s a clear step above any other guard available tonight. A primetime showdown is the perfect spot for Los Angeles’ superstar to deliver a vintage performance.
2. Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons at GSW ($10,100)
The Pistons aren’t a complete team, but they are fortunate enough to employ one of the NBA’s best players. Cade Cunningham has always had massive talent, but the guard has taken his game to another level this season. Through 58 games played, the guard has posted 25.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 9.4 assists (50.8 FPTS). Most recently, he dropped 37 points, ten assists and seven rebounds vs. the Clippers on Wednesday (62.75 FPTS).
Detroit’s budding superstar will have his hands full against one of the association’s hottest squads. The Warriors are a new team since trading for Jimmy Butler, going 9-2 over their last 11 contests. Still, there should be enough room for Cunningham to produce in this one. When the guard last faced Golden State on January 9th, he accounted for 32 points, six rebounds and nine assists (59.0 FPTS). Regardless of the opponent, the Pistons should get their best player plenty of touches on Saturday night.
3. Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers at ATL ($8,800)
The 2024-25 campaign has been slightly disappointing for Tyrese Haliburton. The 25-year-old is still one of the association’s most gifted passers, but he’s had trouble finding consistency as a scorer. This season, the guard has averaged 18.5 points and 8.9 assists while shooting 46.8% from the field (41.6 FPTS). Those numbers, while very solid, aren’t ‘superstar-caliber’ like Pacers fans were hoping for.
Indiana’s face of the franchise has a golden opportunity on Saturday, assuming he plays. The Hawks are miserable on defense, allowing the fifth-most points (118.8) and fifth-most assists (28.6) per game. In addition, Atlanta has given up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards. Even at less than 100%, Haliburton could offer massive value on tonight’s fantasy basketball rankings.
