Alperen Sengun Injury Update: February 12 vs. the Suns

UPDATE: Sengun is available.

After exiting Sunday’s game due to back spasms, Rockets center Alperen Sengun is officially listed questionable for Wednesday night’s matchup against the Suns.

Houston will need all hands on deck for the 8:30 p.m. EST home contest vs. superstar scorers Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

Sengun, a 22-year-old All-Star, is averaging a double-double with 19.0 points and 10.4 boards a game. The Turkish big man is also dishing out 4.9 assists per contest.

As of Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. EST, the Rockets’ injury report is mostly clean besides Sengun. Aside from Fred VanVleet (ankle) and Jabari Smith Jr. (hand), it appears most rotation players are healthy.

A healthy Sengun, and remainder of the rotation, would be a massive boon for a Houston squad which hit a five-game slump before bouncing back to snap the losing streak in their last game. Despite dealing with recent injuries, the Rockets remain fifth in the Western Conference at 33-20.
