Super Bowl Fantasy Football Picks: Top DraftKings Pick6 Plays for Chiefs vs. Eagles

Super Bowl Fantasy Football Picks: Top DraftKings Pick6 Plays for Chiefs vs. Eagles

Updated:

By: Blake Krass

Super Bowl LIX is here and it is a rematch between the Chiefs and Eagles. The Eagles are looking for revenge from a couple of seasons ago while the Chiefs look to pull off the three-peat. It should be an incredible Super Bowl between these two great teams.

There are far more ways to get involved in the action than just via traditional betting. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Football!

Super Bowl Pick6 Plays

Here are my top Pick6 plays for Super Bowl LIX.

Jalen Hurts More Than 0.5 Rushing + Receiving Touchdowns

Jalen Hurts led all quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns with 14 in the regular season. In the postseason, nothing has changed for Hurts. He didn’t find the end zone in the Wild Card Round but he scored a rushing touchdown in the Divisional Round and had an incredible three rushing touchdowns in the NFC Championship Game. Hurts showed that he can still break a long run with his 44-yard opening drive touchdown run against the Rams in the Divisional Round. However, the tush push is what generates a majority of Hurts’ rushing touchdowns and what makes him so deadly to score in almost every game. When these two teams faced off in the Super Bowl last time, Hurts scored on a tush push in that game as well. Hurts has nine rushing touchdowns in eight career postseason games, including one in his only Super Bowl appearance, and he should find the end zone again in this game.

Dallas Goedert More Than 52.5 Receiving Yards

Dallas Goedert has been on fire so far in the postseason. Goedert is averaging over 62 receiving yards per game in the postseason and going back to the regular season, he has cleared this number of 52.5 yards in three of his past four games. Goedert dealt with some injury issues throughout the regular season that had him missing time and limiting his production. However, it is clear that now that he is fully healthy and in a rhythm, Jalen Hurts trusts Goedert over almost any of his targets. Goedert has either been the second-leading receiver or the leading receiver in all three playoff games so far. The Eagles are going to have to pass the ball to win this game. The Chiefs are going to do everything in their power to take away Saquon Barkley and force Jalen Hurts to be a pocket passer. That should lead to Hurts throwing the ball seven or eight times to Goedert, just like he did in the NFC Championship Game. Goedert should turn that into six or seven catches and break some of those for big chunks. The Chiefs ranked last in the NFL in receiving yards allowed to opposing tight ends with over 67 yards allowed per game. Goedert should have a big day and clear this number.

Jake Elliott Less Than 6.5 Kicking Points

Jake Elliott has had some major kicking woes this season. It started with him just losing his ability to make field goals from long distance, but in the postseason, he seems to have lost all confidence. During the regular season, Elliott was 27-of-29 on field goals from inside 50 yards and went 47-of-48 on extra points. However, he went 1-of-7 on 50+-yard field goals. So far in the postseason, that trend has continued from long range. Elliott has only attempted one 50+-yarder in the postseason and it was a miss. The shocking part was Elliott’s extra-point success rate in the first two rounds of the playoffs. In the Wild Card and Divisional Rounds, Elliott was a combined 2-of-5 on extra points. He was perfect on extra points in the NFC Championship Game but also missed his only field-goal attempt in that game. It is clear that Elliott can’t hit deep shots and lacks confidence all around, so Nick Sirianni should be aggressive going for fourth downs rather than kicking in some situations. The Eagles’ team total is set at 23.5 points so this number lines up with the Eagles scoring three touchdowns and one field goal and finishing with 24 points. That would equal six kicking points for Elliott. The Eagles won’t win this game with field goals, so if Elliott makes more than one field goal, it would be a surprise.

Jalen Hurts More Than 212.5 Passing Yards

Jalen Hurts has had a bit of a boom-or-bust season when it comes to his passing yards totals. Either he needs to pass for the Eagles to win and he has a big passing day, or it is a run-first approach from Hurts and Barkley and he has a really slow passing day. Between the regular season (excluding Week 18) and the postseason, Hurts had eight games with 221 or more passing yards and eight games with 183 or fewer passing yards. Only once this season did Hurts fall in that big middle range between 183 and 221 passing yards, despite that being where his average yards per game falls and where his passing prop for the Super Bowl falls. So, if this season indicates anything, Hurts will either go well under this number or well over this number. Based on the projected game script, Hurts should go well over this number.

Steve Spagnuolo is an absolute wizard in the postseason. The Chiefs never have the best defensive metrics in the regular season but in the biggest games and even more specifically on the biggest plays in the biggest games, Spagnuolo makes the correct defensive call and the players execute it perfectly. There is no doubt that Spags’ goal is to take away Saquon Barkley. The Eagles have made it this far largely because of the incredible play of Barkley. The Eagles are at their best when Barkley is carrying the offensive load and busting big runs. The Chiefs should have a good game plan to take him away. That should force Hurts to be a pocket passer like he was the last time these teams played in the Super Bowl. Hurts attempted 38 passes for 304 yards in that game and he should need a similar effort to defeat the Chiefs in this game.

Jahan Dotson Less Than 0.5 Receptions

Jahan Dotson was traded from Washington to Philadelphia just before the regular season started. The Eagles were hoping to buy low on the former first-round pick and get some good production out of the young receiver. However, Dotson’s struggles that caused Washington to ship him away continued in Philadelphia. Other than the regular-season finale where the Eagles rested their starters and Dotson got to be their top receiver, Dotson never had more than two catches in a game this season. In fact, excluding the Week 18 games, Dotson never had more than one catch in a game after Week 4. So far in the postseason, that trend has held up. In the Wild Card Round, Dotson only had one catch but it surprisingly was a key touchdown grab. However, in the Divisional Round and the NFC Championship Game, Dotson didn’t get a single target, let alone a reception. After two straight games without a target, it is likely that Dotson will go without a target in this game as well and will therefore go under this 0.5 receptions total.

Xavier Worthy More Than 0.5 Rush + Receiving TDs

Xavier Worthy has emerged as a real star for this Chiefs offense. The Chiefs drafted Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and it was expected that Worthy would be more of a gadget player with limited touches but big-play ability, like Mecole Hardman and other Chiefs players in the past. However, the injuries to Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown forced Worthy into a bigger role very early on in his rookie season. At first, it seemed as if Worthy was not up to the task of how many touches he was getting. However, as the season has progressed, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes have found out how to use Worthy in the most efficient manner possible. That has come from using him in the running game and on unique passing plays where he can show off his incredible speed.

Worthy had a massive game against the Bills, going for 85 yards and a touchdown on six catches. He has become the Chiefs’ best red-zone threat because of his ability to be used in the run game, screen game or on quick routes. Going back to the regular season, Worthy has scored a touchdown in four of his past five games. During that five-game stretch, he is averaging 8.8 targets per game and over two carries per game. The Chiefs are looking to get the ball in Worthy’s hands double-digit times per game and a lot of those touches come in the red zone. That should lead to Worthy finding the end zone in his first Super Bowl appearance.
