UPDATE: Davis has been ruled out for Tuesday.

It’s been quite the week for Anthony Davis ($10,500). He strained his abdominal muscle, causing him to miss two games then was traded for Luka Doncic ($11,200) out of the blue. Davis did not play on Sunday when the Mavericks visited Cleveland, but there’s a chance he will make his Dallas debut in Philadelphia on Tuesday if the trade becomes official and he’s healthy. Davis is officially questionable on the injury report.

Even if Davis does play, there’s a ton of uncertainty. How many minutes does he play? How will he be utilized? How will he mesh with new teammates? Will his rebounds go down playing alongside Daniel Gafford?

Dallas plays in Philadelphia on Tuesday then in Boston on Thursday. They return for the start of a five-game homestand on Saturday. I’m thinking Saturday is when Davis makes his Mavericks debut.
