Reignmakers Football is introducing Headline Sets for the 2023 season, the first of which will be the Play-Action Set.
The Play-Action Set will include three pack makeups:
- Preseason
- Standard Regular Season
- Premium Regular Season
Play-Action Preseason Packs will contain depth players from CORE through REIGNMAKER tier to unlock preseason contests, where customers can compete to win 2023 packs.
The Play-Action Set will hold a 3X Franchise Score and unique set-dedicated achievements. Play-Action Standard Regular Season and Play-Action Premium Regular Season Packs unlock access to half of the Reignmakers World Qualifier seats that are available via contests, include top league talent from RARE+ tiers and offer the opportunity to score a Royal card insert holding 2K Franchise Score value and a special crown reward for certain yardage milestones.
8/14 UPDATE:
For the REIGNMAKER Tier Play-Action auctions starting on August 14, this represents one REIGNMAKER-tier edition from the Play-Action set for these players. For example, QB1s and Skill Starters have a cap of eight REIGNMAKER-tier edition cards for the season. Play-Action as a set represents four of those eight editions. From the four Play-Action REIGNMAKER-tier edition cards, one card went into pack drops, one card will be distributed via DFS contest prizing, one card went into crafting and the remaining card for auctions.
A small portion of Play-Action (and other future headline set) RARE through LEGENDARY cards will also go through auctions in the form of single-player auctions, as well as player bundles (multiple players sold in one auction).

Yesterday, we shared an update (see below for full details) for Reignmakers 2023 Football Players regarding the Play-Action Set promo, drop purchase limit and the site temporarily being down impacting some community members’ experiences during the drop. Today, we have additional information to share.
$50K Week 1 Football DFS Free-Roll Contest
We will be offering one ticket for entry into a $50K Week 1 Football DFS Free Roll to certain players. Specifically, players in DFS-eligible states who were unable to purchase any 2023 Play-Action Preseason packs but were logged into Marketplace between 6:00 and 6:30 pm ET on August 8th, 2023 will be credited with one ticket for the contest.
Everyone who believes they qualify (under the above criteria) will receive a ticket for the contest by filling out the following link by Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:59 pm ET: https://dyno.gg/form/6a6ad109. In order to fill out this link, you must create a DraftKings Discord account by following this link https://discord.gg/draftkingsmarketplace. Once your account has been created or if you already have an account, you must log in and then fill out the form with your DraftKings Username (the username you use to login to DraftKings.com, not your Discord Username) and the email address on your DraftKings account. Only one ticket will be distributed to eligible players. Players who were able to successfully purchase one or more 2023 Play-Action Preseason packs on the Primary Market will not be eligible to receive a ticket to this contest.
Tickets will be issued Monday, August 14, 2023 or, in the event of technical difficulties, as soon as reasonably possible after that time.
Additional details including payout structure, contest links, etc. to be shared ahead of Contest Lock Week 1 Main Slate Sunday, September 10, 2023.

8/9 UPDATE:
We appreciate your patience as we work through what happened during the Play-Action set drop. The team came together, and has a roadmap to address the situation and share next steps. We understand that the promo, drop purchase limit and site temporarily being down impacted some community members’ experiences during the drop.
Play-Action Preseason Pack Purchase Promo: Some players have reported that they were unable to qualify for the “Buy 3 get 1 free pack” promotion (available August 8, 2023). As a reminder, to be eligible for the “Buy 3 get 1 free pack” promo, the pack purchase had to be via the primary market and you did not have to opt-in. In response to players’ concerns, we will address this in two ways.
For players unable to buy more than 2 packs on primary: We will send $20 DK Dollars to those of you who bought 1-2 Play-Action Preseason Packs via the primary market and therefore were unable to take part in the Promo.
For players who were impacted by the Promo first 30K pack purchase limit: Some players have reported not receiving a free pack for every 3 Play-Action Preseason Packs that they purchased via the primary market. Regardless of the 30K pack limit on the “Buy 3 get 1 free pack” promo, we will credit all players that purchased Play-Action Preseason Packs via the primary market in multiples of 3 from August 8th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. ET to August 8th, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. ET with the corresponding number of free Play-Action Preseason Packs owed pursuant to the promotion.
Secondary Market Rebates: For those of you who wanted to purchase packs, but were unable to, we want to offer an opportunity for you to still take part. Any player who purchased or purchases a Reignmakers pack or card from the Reignmakers Play-Action Set on the Secondary Market between August 8, 2023 at 6:00 pm ET and August 9, 2023 at 11:59 pm ET will receive a 20% rebate (in DK Dollars) on their first $100 spent on such Secondary Market purchases. We will issue any DK Dollars on August 11, 2023 or, in the event of technical issues, within 5 business days. DK Dollars are site credits that have no cash value, are only valid for use on DraftKings, do not expire, and must be played-through 1x prior to withdrawal of winnings.

Play-Action Preseason Pack details
Play-Action Preseason Packs will cost $19.99 each and contain six cards per pack.
The card checklist for Play-Action Preseason Packs will primarily contain depth players, kickers and defenses across all tiers. These cards will hold season-long contest eligibility. Play-Action Preseason Cards and Rookie Debut Set Cards will play a big part in entering 2023 preseason contests, which are awarding 2023 cards.
Play-Action Regular Season Pack details
Play-Action Regular Season Packs will include both Play-Action cards and Royal inserts. There will be Standard Play-Action Regular Season Packs and Premium Play-Action Regular Season Packs.
Standard
Standard Play-Action Regular Season Packs will cost $499.99 per pack and feature five player cards per pack. These packs will only contain the following types of cards, all of which will be RARE+:
- QB1
- Skill Starters
- Role Players
- Rookie Offensive Players
Premium
Premium Play-Action Regular Season Packs will cost $2,999.99 per pack and feature five player cards per pack. These packs will only contain the following types of cards, all of which will be RARE+:

Play-Action Preseason Pack Promo
For every three 2023 Play-Action Preseason Pack primary packs purchased from drop day until drop ends, purchasers earn one additional 2023 Play-Action Preseason Pack for free while supplies last.
The Play-Action Set’s target drop date of Thursday, August 3, 2023 will be pushed to the week of August 7, 2023.
