With tragic wildfires raging across the Los Angeles area, the Rams will open their playoff campaign with heavy hearts on neutral ground, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
On the field, Los Angeles seems to match up well with the Minnesota Vikings, its Wild Card Round opponent. The Rams beat the Vikings in Week 8, aided in part by a 97-yard rushing performance from running back Kyren Williams. Los Angeles will need another strong performance from the former All-Pro Second Teamer if it wants to extend its playoff run beyond Monday. This season, Williams took 350 total touches for 1,481 all-purpose yards and 16 scores.
At DraftKings Sportsbook, the Rams are 2.5-point underdogs, and the point total is set at 47.5. Below, I’ve identified my favorite prop bets centered around Williams.
Best Kyren Williams Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Kyren Williams O20.5 Rushing Attempts (-115)
Williams was one of the best running backs in the league during his sophomore campaign in 2023, rushing for a league-high 95.3 yards per game and averaging 5.0 yards per carry. While he hasn’t been quite as efficient in 2024, he has still been a workhorse, as his 316 carries were the third-most in the league, behind only Philadelphia’s Saquon Barkley and the Ravens’ Derrick Henry.
Williams garnered at least 20 rushing attempts in exactly half of his games this season, and I expect him to carry a heavy workload against a Vikings team that has a pretty strong secondary. While Minnesota allowed the fourth-most passing yards in the league this season, it also intercepted 24 passes, by far the most in football, and quarterback Matthew Stafford has historically been a turnover-prone signal-caller, even if he’s thrown just one pick in his last seven games.
Williams will also benefit from the season-ending fractured forearm that backup running back Blake Corum suffered during Los Angeles’ Week 18 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Without Corum, the Rams only have Williams, Ronnie Rivers, and Cody Schrader on their active roster. Rivers has notched only 22 carries this season and Schrader has only recorded one carry and one reception in his entire career, both in Week 18. In such an important game — especially against a solid rushing defense — expect head coach Sean McVay to lean heavily on Williams.
Kyren Williams Anytime TD Scorer (-140)
Minnesota has been pretty good at avoiding scores, allowing only 14 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns to running backs in 2024. However, Williams has been peaking at the right time, finding the end zone in five of his last six games.
Los Angeles has leaned heavily on him to produce in scoring situations all season. He has garnered 73.9% of the Rams’ rushes inside the red zone and 78.6% of their carries within the opponent’s 10-yard line, both of which lead the league by significant margins. Furthermore, he’s taken 82.6% of Los Angeles’ rushes within the opponent’s five-yard line, second only to Henry.
